I am just stating my lack of faith in this signing, nothing personal really hope I get proved wrong..

Thanks.. This guy couldn´t defend for shit couple of years back, one good WC and he´s at United! Last time we signed a player based on a tournament it didn´t all to well!I like your optimism

Well done lads!!! We've made the big leagues!Yahoo using the Caf as a source for their Rojo story: https://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/football-rojo-hints-man-utd-move-081815006--sow.html
In what sense is it the same? The issue with Di Maria - not that I agree, fwiw - is that we might be paying over the odds for a player who wouldn't necessarily solve our main weaknesses. The issue with Rojo is that after a summer of talking about signing the best players we're getting a player who did well in the WC but prior to that hadn't really marked himself out as one that would end up at a top club, or wasn't being mentioned by anyone as a potential signing for us. Which doesn't mean he won't be a good player for us, obviously, but there's certainly an element of risk. Some people just like to moan. In the Di Maria thread some are moaning at his price and dont want us to pay that. Who likes to moan will always find a reason.
It's the same with Rojo here.

I'd actually be happy for Nani, his career is stagnating here and what he needs might be a fresh start. If this could reignite his career, that would be good for him. Win win really, I'd say.If we get Nani with United paying the majority of the wages, i´ll be delighted with this deal. We are in much need of wingers and Nani was class for us (specially in the Champions League). But since this hasn´t been confirmed yet, i´ll be keeping my cool. This sounds too good to be true.

Moaning because we dont think hes top quality simple as that. If he proves otherwise everyone will be happy but he has to prove himself.
Haha. Sly's post makes it to Eurosport. Awesome!
Lazy journalists. I´m just a mere Sporting season ticket owner with my own opinion. Other Sporting fans can think differently. Well i´m glad i could help the forum get some more views. Cheers guys.
So does Mata then.....
Unless of course you were sent here by Sporting's president to drum up some business. Hence the name @Sly

Hah you got me Do i get a tagline for giving the Caf eurosport publicity?
Would he need a work permit?
If LVG wants him, I'm all for him and I trust LVG. Some people think they know better than him though. Yeah it's a risk, so were some other signings which in the end were proven to be great. In what sense is it the same? Christian @FreddieBoswell7 · 16hAccording to that scout FreddieBoswell7: Rojo is fast, athletic, reads game superbly, solid passer. Gets forward well if playing leftback. Great signing. Perfect for 3 at the back or 442.
Can't post his tweet as the account is private.
I'm ok with a Rojo level player coming in in defense(Heinze,Evra and Vidic werent exactly sexy either). A Rojo level player in midfield though is another story though ,simply because I dont have a Heinze, Evra and Vidic type example to prove its success.
we worked hard in preseason to get used to 3-5-2 why would we suddenly change to 4-3-3 hen we have no players for it ie top quality centreback and defensive minded CM which is the highest priority...and then the wingers. Id be satisfied with Welbeck on the left and Januzaj on the other apart that we dont have much quality wing players left. So it is kinda unlikely. the 4-3-3 or 4-4-1-1 very riggid IMO was only a hot fix in a match we couldn't do any worse. The players were not able to emulate van Gaals intructuion on the pitch in 3-5-2. And I wonder if it was giggs who suggested that..We still don't know about the formation yet. LVG switched the formation into 4 in the back at 2nd half. It might be 433 or 4411.
Even with 433 with no quality wingers, we can still use Rooney as a winger. Not a good idea. But still better than our current wingers anyway except Januzaj.
It's just so awefull to see Januzaj as a wing back.
You mean with Blackett and Smalling besides him and Cleverley and Fellaini in midfield? If buying Rojo instead of Benatia means we can confirm either Vidal or Di Maria too, i'm all for it. I think Rojo is the type who will excel at a higher level with better players.
