Marcos Rojo | Manchester United Player Pending Medical

There are worse things for United to do than finalize a transfer for a player they like with a club such as Sporting who produce a lot of very good talent consistently and do them the favor of paying Nani's wages in the process while they allow us to pay the fee in installments, rather than upfront. It's not a perfect deal, but I'd rather be on the good side of Sporting with Bruno de Carvalho in charge since I doubt this is the last time we will negotiate for a player from the club in the near future.

Is it just me that doesn't think the fee is that bad for a player of his quality and reputation ? Some are making it sound like we are overpaying madly here - but even if we cover Nani's fee for 1 year (which might actually be a healthy deal as it may increase his value compared to him not getting gametime at United) - a fee of about £20-22 million really isn't that bad for a 24 year old defender with about 30 caps for one of the best national sides in the World

Finally... Unless he has like a Loic Remy to Liverpool moment and fails his medical despite not really being injury prone?

What the hell have we bought?!?!?!

Still though, at least we have a player who won't bottle it at Anfield for a change

I am more concerned with players Bottling it at Old Trafford - away from home we have done ok - even under Moyes

Delighted we signed a defender and also happy for Sporting. They got a good deal out of us.
