Everton have lost one of their last eight Premier league games

    Away form this season

    4-0 defeat v Spurs
    3-2 defeat v Villa
    1-1 against Leicester
    2-0 win v Ipswich
    1-0 defeat v Southampton
    0-0 against West Ham

Last five Premier league meetings in Old Trafford.
Two 2-0 wins for United and three draws
2 wins out of 5 is a poor return conidering how bad Everton have been the last few years.

I got a feeling that with all the hype over the win on Thursday this has got draw written all over it, but hoping I am wrong. We ain’t putting the chances away like the other big teams do.
I hope Rasmus is given a run of games upfront to build his confidence. Not all players are rotated, and we need some experience upfront in this system, which only comes from regular game time.

Expect us to dominate possession. One thing we’ve improved on since Amorim as arrived is dominating possession. We need to be clinical and not make it a nervous ending.
We’ve played Ipswich and some team nobody had heard of in the Europa League. Easy tiger

Mainoo minutes today would be nice. Probably off the bench, imagine it’ll be Ugarte + Case/Bruno

Going to be a comfortable 2-2. Progress.

Newport County gave us a game last season it’s not a high barrier we are currently guaging ourselves from.
Exactly my point mate. At least the 2 games we have seen we’ve had more possession. We just need to take our chances and finish teams of. That’s what should be worked on in training.

I dont mind some rotation considering we are playing Arsenal in midweek.

Should be able to put out a side good enough to beat Everton at home!

We've a much better chance of getting 3 points today, then we do of beating Arsenal mid week. It just makes no sense to rest players, especially with Hojilund looking good last game in this system.

We're not on Sky or anywhere.... sigh

Must win. I'll take any win..
Need those three points to climb up the table

    Rashford at 9 apparently
Was just going to post this... Højlund doesn't start at least. Saving him for Arsenal probably (needed Højlund for my FPL this GW :annoyed:).

    I'm guessing
    Onana
    Maz De Ligt Martinez
    Amad Ugarte Cas Dalot
    Mount Bruno
    Rashford

Edit - I'm way off, looks like Mainoo and Zirzkee start

Sounds like some rotation, I really hope the ones we bring in give it everything, if Rashford and Zirkzee both start it’ll be like playing with 9 men.

Really enjoying how much he is willing to rotate. He is clearly prioritising the long term. He could easily just play his bext XI but he wans everyone to learn the system.

I get this lineup with Arsenal coming up mid week but Amad is wasted as a wing back
We need to start thinking about the collective rather than individual performances though. If it serves the team that's all that matters.

Amorim certainly has a penchant for squad rotation, doesn’t he? It’s a positive approach, as it not only keeps the squad fresh but also allows him to evaluate our players comprehensively—not just in terms of their technical and tactical abilities, but also their physical attributes and mental resilience.

This approach is a stark contrast to Erik ten Hag, who preferred to stick with a more consistent lineup and rotated sparingly. However, I believe that once Amorim identifies his strongest XI and establishes a settled core, we’ll see a reduction in rotation.

I think the new system really helps with rotation. All of a sudden you look to our bench and there are some good options to come on and affect the game.

He's playing well there though. And Mazraoui is playing extremely well as a right centre back because he ends up wide anyway.

This is such an improvement on ETH flogging his preferred XI week after week and then the ensuing omnishambles when they weren't available
