-----De Gea
Rafael Evans Smalling Buttner
--------Jones
-----Carrick Giggs
----Welbeck Kagawa
-------Rooney

I just hope that Rafael, Smalling and Evans are fit. Jones would help the full backs, Giggs can protect the left flank and that front 3 can try and get something off the break.

that would be a good team if those 3 were fit.
Smalling and Evans are having a late fitness test, Rafael is uncertain.

If one or two are not fit then I could see Vidic slotting in or Jones going CB and Fellaini as the deepest midfielder.

I've decided the best thing for Moyes to do is...copy Fergie and play a similar team that played Madrid.

Rooney
Nani Welbeck Giggs

It's unlikely Nani will play so maybe Valencia for him. Welbeck got around Alonso that day and our pace caused Madrid a lot of problems.

That would be a good front 4 as they would all track back and help in defence but can do a lot of damage on the break.

Carlos Velasco Carballo - a referee from Madrid - is the referee for the match.

Typically Uefa. There will be one or two spanish teams in the semi final...

Hardly will this prove that, if anything we have played really well in cl bar the olympiakos away leg.
I agree that we have played well, but this is the first time he has been really tested. I would have expected us to get through that group and past Olypiakos regardless of who our manager was. I hope he comes up with a surprise against BM. Even something like a complete defensive shut out and a spawny goal from a corner at theirs! Its football and I guess you never know! at least thats what Im telling myself haha

I'm taking a girl as a 2nd date.....will have to practice my brave face if we take a monstering.

A Jones - Carrick - Giggs could be a good option for the midfield - if they're given decent instructions/roles.

It did a number on Madrid afterall.

haha yeah, barca lost 7-0 to munich last year and they've improved, we've walked the our group - but somehow if we lose this moyes lack of CL experience is unacceptable - funny how some peoples brain's work

Very good. Hopefully he's a Real or Atletico fan who wants their biggest competition for the CL trophy out of the running. Wishful thinking but Cünt Cakir taught me that referees can be corrupt!

You had to wait till our match last season against Madrid to find that out?

Well for one, one Spanish team is confirmed to be in the semis since Barca take on Atletico.

Secondly, what does a match between a German team and an English team refereed by a Spanish ref have anything to do with how many Spanish teams make it to the semis?

If anything, a Spanish referee might help us! You know, to make it easier for Real or Barcelona in the semis. Though he'd probably have to score a couple of goals himself to give us any chance.

United have always been the underdogs. Even more this season due to our league position. If fergie was in charge I wouldn't expect the fans to be totally confident. You only need to look back on last season, everyone on the caf was convinced RM would thrash us but then nothing of that sort happened. It's just the way it has always been for us.

Not with the bookies though. Im talking about the last time United were 7-1 or worse to win at home before a game kicked off.

I have no clue how the fck we should go at them tactically but I imagine it will be 4-5-1 with Rooney in a withdrawn role and Valencia, Welbeck and Januzaj the main attackers. He probably will go for Young though just to fckin annoy everyone. As its been said before, if Rafa is injured we are even more bolloxed.

If Rafa plays it might be

DDG
Rafa
Vida
Jones
Buttner
Valencia
Carrick
Rooney
Giggs
Januzaj/Young
Welbeck

And only Rooney from United features on the top 12 or so first goalscorers in the betting.

I think Bayern will respect you a lot and end up winning 2-1 or something.

I highly doubt a 4-0 drubbing.

I can see United pulling out a 1-0 or 2-0 win. Dont know why, just have that feeling.

Doesn't the opposite of how you feel always happens, Rob?

Only if I bet on it.

Like today I gambled on hannover+1 at 1-0. Had to wait untill 90+1 for Bremen to score the goal to make it 1-2.

I also gambled Elche to be winning at HT when they were 1-0 up on 38 minutes. was 1-1.

Currently have Villareal not to win and Porto not to win.

Will you please bet on Munich then?

There's a very small part of me that wants Fellaini to play just to see even he ever once gets close to any of their midfielders.

Possibly.

I reckon once Bayern go a goal up they'll start "controlling" the game rather than going hell for leather.

If we were to win 2-0 I'd still have very little faith of making it to the semi-final to be honest. Should be an interesting watch to be honest, our last two Champions League games for a year anyway, try enjoy them!

To any Bayern fans:

How do you think the Thiago injury will affect your team's chances against both United and in your effort to retain the CL title?

If you were to win 2-0, then it would mean you would have an excellent chance of going through. Still Bayern would be dangerous, but you would have to be favourites. But first, you would have to win 2-0 :wenger:
