Bottom line is that even if the west have militarily caused devastation and led to the death of innocents.. killing young people like this who have nothing to do with it is an unjust and despicable way of making a point/getting revenge, furthermore what our forefathers done in the name of religion or political strategy shouldn't be held against current or future generations.
This 'Islam is to blame' 'it has more violent people' than christianity is just all immature mud-slinging and isn't going to resolve feck all, it is just further dividing people.
Hiding behind religious doctrine seems to be the strategy ISIS have taken, rather than following it. Its a group of dangerous criminals who instead of getting their hands on nuclear weapons, have got their hands on a more dangerous chemical.. 'religion' and utilising it to wreak terror. I doubt they give two fecks about reaching some holy land.
Nevertheless, it is clear that religious schools, certain mosques have become breeding/recruiting grounds for their bullshit which need to be closed down and furthermore tighter checks/controls on immigration (on individuals who regularly frequent countries like Libya/Syria/Afghanistan/Iraq does need to be taken). What would make an even bigger difference is the likes of the UK to stop making arms sales to countries like Saudi, and to stop intervening in middle-eastern conflicts.
I support the war on ISIS, but the question is, should there have been a war on ISIS to begin with? no. This all stems from the poor handling of the 9/11 aftermath.. what was a legitimate war on Afghanistan, which most muslims were on board with, led to the ridiculous war in Iraq and has led to the mess we find ourselves in.
