It was tweeted before the match so certainly not a tactic to distract from another poor result but no idea about the reliability of the source.

That's why we hire DOF first then make him choose the manager second.

However there's still a chance we'll still end up getting a terrible DOF. It's possible. If any club is going to get a terrible DOF it's gonna be United. Anyone who joins us turns to shite immediately.
 
This dithering dickhead is refusing to sack Mourinho because he doesn't have the balls to contend with volatile mid-season changes. It is beyond his capacity to make emergency decisions and salvage the season, he would rather fritter away the entire season instead.

Woodward is a massive, massive problem. In one way, his incompetence has been exposed in a big manner during Jose's tenure. I thought he would learn from the last few years, but he's still the same idiot as he was when he was newly appointed.
 
Yes he should sack Jose now and he should not give Jose even one pence to be spent in January on a CB. The simple reason is even the best CB is going to struggle when you have Matic in front of him.

Yep. Even if you take the view of defending mourinho, he’s been shit and didn’t back him in the summer. He just isn’t making a decision - or if he is, it’s to do nothing, which is terrible.

He needs to go and let someone else make the decisions now.

That indicates the problem which is Woodward, when the topmost management is part of the problem things down the structure also struggles to function efficiently.

Look at the way rabilta left united. It indicates lot about what's happening at the top and the clubs structure. He seems to have hijacked the power at united which the manager like Fergie controlled from top to bottom, and as a result both top managers ended up at our rivals door as well.
 
In no other top club would Mourinho still be in a job. Even second-tier clubs like Spurs and Sevilla would have got rid.

The really sad thing is that all the alternatives to Woodward and the Glazers seem worse.

I honestly don't know any more. Only thing I know the big decisions for the football side for the next season is gonna be crucial and if we end up fecking it again we'll not be relevant for a while. Dof, manager, players, football structure, Woodward, role, if we don't sort all these out in a correct way next season then the worst is yet to come.

Why? Even if you get someone else this dross on the pitch would not change. No Chairman is going to give a blank check unless it is oil money like City. Jose has bought 8 players. Isn't that enough to get the team playing some decent football? We may not beat city but we can't even beat Crystal Palace at home and lucky to escape with a draw. This is the norm now. Every game we are lucky to escape with a point or even a rare win.
 
That he hasn't sacked Mourinho is a dereliction of duty. Can feck off with Mourinho.

There would be worse managers to pick than Simeone, he's an excellent manager.

I don't know about that. I think it'd be hard to find an actual DOF who would do worse than Woodward. He's a businessman who thinks he's playing real life football manager.

But the fact is, he was offered a very important role at Zenit, and at United he was a senior scout.
When we hired him, many assumed it was for a DOF type role and it wasn't
 
Instead of wasting our energy on the manager, we should all turn on this idiot. He is the primary reason for turning this great club into mediocre in 6 years. All his picks become failures and his signings set us back for at least another decade. It won't matter who is next manager as long this moron is running the show.

He thought we had the players for top 4. He's going to pay the price.

He should be sacked. The clubs profits were down last week so you can't fall back on that any longer. He's cost this club a lot of money and in the long run, the damage to the club is absolutely awful.

The money drop from these 6 years will be felt more in 10 years time.

Communication, these things are discussed during the meetings prior to the hiring of the DOF. If the club doesn't want someone like Simeone then it will be stated during the interview and the candidate will most likely be asked to give examples of targets that he will try to bring and why.
 
Another one with no urgency in his decision making. The whole club suffers from the same disease.

Hope so! Would get rid of both Woodward and Mourinho, or at least downgrade Woodward's role significantly.

Cadena ser is reliable, if I remember it correctly. He's possibly one of the best appointments we could make. Loved his signings this summer for Atletico.

The Glazers and Woodward are chronically and critically rank bad for a club of this magnitude,they are way out of their depth,new owners a new manager a new coaching set up and a DOF are acutely needed to start what is going to be a long haul recovery process from top to bottom IF the club wants to be back challenging for EPL and CL titles!
 
Mourninho has to go that is obvious, but it’s equally as important someone comes in to take responsibility away from Woodward. He is too important to the owners to get rid of but he isn’t qualified to continue in his current role.
