Fit enough to make TikTok’s with Molly Mae!
So he’s not allowed to have a social life? All footballers are robots and can only play football and think about football and lock themselves in their houses and watch football all day long

Was thinking about this a little while ago and I think while the lack of transparency over injuries can really spoil the relationship players have with fans, it also can’t be any other way.

It’s both in the player’s interest to keep details of their injury private as it could impact their future earnings and it’s in the club’s interest as players are commodities which could potentially be sold, no matter how unlikely that might seem.

So as frustrating as it is, it’s completely understandable that we never hear the full details about a player like Shaw and it’s unfortunate because I think if we knew the full details of his struggles which are no doubt linked to that horrific leg break, then we’d be a lot more sympathetic to his struggles.

Where did I say that?
Chill.

Shaw is a robot? He can only play football? That's the exact opposite of what he is

Are you arguing that players with mysterious, never revealed season-long injuries can be sold easily, compared to players that have known injuries? I don't think so

It's not going to endear him to the fans, is it? His club in a relegation fight (and make no mistake about it, that's what we're in). He's constantly injured, stealing a living from the club, and he's acting the cnut on some tiktok video like he couldn't give a f**k.

He's one of several players who embodies everything that's gone wrong at this club.

Most fans don’t give a single feck in all honesty. It’s 1 or 2 seconds on a tiktok, hardly anything deep. It will all be forgotten about in a day or two.

So what if the club is in a relegation fight (it isn’t in all honesty) he’s enjoying his time away from his work at a social function. I couldn’t give two shits what he does outside of work as long as he performs on the pitch, which he does when fit.

Do you not let off steam from a bad situation at your work place?

He’s just a human like you or I, he’s allowed to do things away from football. Trust me, no footballer once he’s away from the training ground sits around all day living and breathing the club they play for, it’s unhealthy to do so. Let them live some sort of “normal” life outside of football.

Hopefully most fans aren't that pathetic and precious that an injured player making a two second appearance in a tiktok video would lead them to question his professionalism and accuse him of being the embodiment of all that is wrong with the club, but here are we.

If you’re injured you can’t help that, but maybe mouthing along to a song? Joking about people on benefits isn’t the wisest move for a Manchester United player at the moment.

A footballer who is constantly injured and unable to do the job he's been paid to do, should not be going on a tik tok video mouthing along to a song about someone being on benefits.

It just shows a total lack of self awareness, maturity and brains, it's such a stupid thing to do for anyone. But it clearly shows the mentality this guy has. He's almost 30 years old ffs and there he is acting like a fecking 12 year old mouthing along to a stupid song on tik tok.

He should have been booted out long ago.

What "work"? He doesn't work!

He's one of the poster boys for where this club is at. Overpaid, always injured, singing about people on benefits when the club's laid off staff earning a fraction of what he gets a week.

An absolute waste of space stealing a living from the club.

If Ineos what a "cultural reboot" at the club, he needs to be one of the first out the door.

Another joke footballer who should have been sent packing a long time ago. More famous for his extreme weight gain and loss than performances on the pitch. Luke, the man.. the myth. Another one on his redemption arch?

It's all well and good saying United players can do what they like in their own time. But when you see how some of them behave on social media it's really not difficult to imagine how vile the culture within the dressing room must be. What's worse is our longest serving senior players are Shaw and Rashford. They should also be first out the door

It’s not the end of the world but it’s pretty tone deaf from someone who is old enough to know better. Given the fact he hasn’t played a league game for over a year and counting, and the team is doing so badly he’s just made himself look like an idiot unnecessarily.

Haha what? He's always been a stout fellow but this narrative must have passed me by.

He is not smart enough to see how that Tiktok will be perceived after what he pulled at the Euros and not being available for selection for a whole year. Or maybe he just doesn’t care and just interested in picking up his salary and laughing at us for being stupid enough to keep giving him contract

Why on earth is this thread open for tonight? When there’s a real Luke, who’s a real Red playing in a darts final.

He has every right to be happy and celebrating.

He can do what ever he wants in his free time.

But what it shows about his personality is the real issue.

Mocking mothers on benefits (which sometimes is really lifesaving).

Forgetting his situation can be seen as worse than that (given the amount he collects and the unproductive he has been)

Not realizing the meaning of public figure (yeah, they have some obligations)

Surely he was devastated when injured. But he really doesnt give a f***. With the growth of his ass being a real indicator.

Most senior player at the club (with Rash). How is that for high standards and leadership?

Im quite sure the Amorim quote was related to this. Shameful and lame. Even worse, unaware.

I find it of very bad taste considered how many United staff are being laid off at the moment

He is liability on the books for whatever time he has left on his contract. We shouldn't count on him to contribute to the cause anymore. I thought that he can at least be useful as a LCB in the new three at the back system as he doesn't have the body to be a LB/LWB. Think that's a tall order for him too. Can't wait for him to leave.

Don't hold your breath mate...another two years to go.

He's constantly injured, stealing a living from the club

This narrative is just so obtuse. He’s paid by the club to do a job which carries an exceptionally high chance of injury compared to almost all other jobs. His injury will have happened whilst he is trying to get to the level of fitness, strength and skill that the club has asked him to do. It’s not like he keeps doing parachute jumps and breaking his legs. It’s directly related to his work.

If an F1 driver crashes his car and can’t drive for an extended period he’s not ‘stealing a living’. He’s injured because he’s taking part in a sport that invites injury. It’s the same here. You can hardly blame Shaw for whatever genetics he’s inherited that make him susceptible.

Spot on.

Shaw is a waster. Sooner he’s gone the better. Ferguson would have got rid years ago.

Yeah, this is bang on. The irony of this cnut mocking people on benefits when he gets paid an obscene amount of money and doesn't actually play any matches...it's bewildering. A total lack of awareness.

Been at the club for a decade now but it feels like he hasn't played a match in about 5 years.

I'm just going off the assumption he'll never play for us again and will be sold in the summer.

Further confirmation Luke Shaw is as thick as pigshit and another example how out of touch millionaire footballers are with the real world...
