Who the feck are AmorimBalll_ and AmorimEra_
Last account has suddenly gotten ITK(leaked lineups almost every match since Amorim became boss) info after Amorim got the job. Don't know about the first one.

If he is injured again it’s very concerning. He’s literally played 3 x 30 minute cameos and has been gently eased back.

Hopefully just a precaution. Nothing surprises me with Shaws fitness though. He could easily be out for most of this season too. We need a LWB as a matter of priority at this point. Davies or one of the lads from the PL who look good going forward

Only silver lining from this is that if he managed to stay fit for rest of the season, the manager may have got false hopes that he could rely on Shaw. But hopefully, nobody would be under any delusion regarding his fitness. Having said that, I feel bad for the guy - he could have been a genuine world beater but for rotten luck with injuries and other issues.

The club has managed him as best as it can and his body still breaks down under the slightest strain. It's over for him and he needs to leave.

Shaw will retire having played fewer games for United than Anthony Martial.

FYI Martial joined after Shaw and left before Shaw.

If it’s the case they seriously need to negotiate with him to terminate his deal. Pay him up, save on NI contributions and let him be someone else’s problem.

Still baffled how and why Southgate was allowed to take him to Euro's and get him play when he wasn't ready at all.

Christmas schedule coming up...of course he's injured. Should have binned him ages ago.

4 year contract was a great idea 18 months ago - he’s not going anywhere.

The injuries are only going to get worse as well

He’s looked woefully off the pace in the few minutes he has played. I can’t imagine he’ll be first choice left back next season.

How many games has he missed throughout his time here? Surely would be pushing 500 appearances by now if he was relatively fit.

What a shame cause he’s such a talent.

A Phil Jones situation. Body is broken, he needs to hang up his boots. Can’t fault him for being made of glass but it is unacceptable how he prioritised England over United this summer.

That's just so disappointing. He's the best in the world when fit IMO and has been for years. Will never get the recognition though even from the United fanbase as he's played in awful teams, has been injury prone and that leg break massively derailed his whole career.

We probably need to look for a new LCB/LWB now because even I'm losing faith now. I thought he could still prove to be very useful for us if we managed him very carefully and churned out 30 games per season out of him for the remainder of his United contract. It seems like it will end like it ended for Jones instead.

His talent is cursed by a body made of wet paper. I feel for him, but this is beyond ridiculous now.

We'll struggle to sell him, and he'll be here for another 2.5 years on 200k a week.

If this news is true, then it'll be interesting whether Maguire or Yoro starts. Also Evans has been missing?

Maguire cannot play wide CB. Would need someone next to him that's fast, which de Ligt is not. Especially against Saka. I wouldn't risk Yoro just for this one game if he's not completely ready, especially given that we'll likely lose anyways. The best solution might be Dalot LCB at this point.

Was gonna post something similar about the Phil Jones comparison. He’s now a player so physically unreliable we can’t continue to consider him a member of our squad.

I disagree with the club or country thing. That was about as good a chance as he will ever get to be part of a team that won England the first major trophy in nearly 60 years. Which was a very big deal for him.

Typical that he gets injured for tomorrow when he's needed the most. At least this system means we're no longer waiting on him to be the first choice left back and we can go and get someone to play at wing back.

I do fear being stuck with him until the end of his contract like Phil Jones to be honest. These injuries aren't going to improve with age either.

I'm quietly hopeful that Yoro is in fact ready to start, but I agree that he shouldn't be risked if he's not ready.

Dalot at LCB concerns me since it brings into question who plays at LWB. Antony has been tried at RWB, so he could potentially fill in at LWB, but I don't trust his concentration over the course of an entire 90 minutes against Saka. Amass is out of the U21 squad, so he'll likely be in the senior squad, but I can't imagine that he'd be playing given he's still so raw (unless we're already several goals down).

I wouldn't mind De Ligt at RCB and Mazraoui at LCB (and Maguire in the middle). You mention pace as a concern but I can see us sitting deep and playing on the counter, so perhaps pace is less of an issue.

In all, it's quite the conundrum now that the first choice LCBs are out.

I probably rate Maguire higher than almost anyone else on here, but when we signed de Ligt, I just never wanted to see both of them on the pitch at the same time. They'd be detrimental to each other IMO and Dalot seems to be the better pick for me.

It’s a shame but much like Jones and Martial he just doesn’t seem to be physically capable of playing anymore. And just like those two he has a lot of time left on an expensive contract that will run down without him playing much.

At this stage in his career he didn’t have much future as a wing back in Amorim’s system but in theory a LCB role would work and extend his career if he somehow managed to stay fit.

We’re absolutely desperate for a LWB, even if he it’s only a loan in January.

The only people who think he's been the best left back in the world are the ones who only watch United.

We only have 2 options now: Yoro or Kukonki, one of them starts tomorrow.
