Lucas Moura?

If he were to leave, PSG might look at replacing him with James from Real. That move has been mentioned in the media before we were linked with Lucas Moura.

He'd certainly be an improvement on Lingard and Martial. That's not saying much, but still.

And regarding baldness, there's a certain bald winger in Bayern we wouldn't mind having, would we?

Wasn't that's only a rumour though? I might be wrong.
Nope we'd been making overtures to him for a while. Gill even paid a visit. Then Barcelona came in with a lower offer and he took that. It was a huge muppet saga on the caf.

Suits the directness pace work rate and explosiveness attributes, But lacks in intelligence against big teams.
Would be a good addition then. The current team lacks proper wingers, especially ones with his traits. Even if won't play well vs big teams, he would be a good option to have for different opponent, for different tactics etc. Plus, he just had his best season so far, gained enough experience already and growing towards his peak, what's not to like?

He is a proper winger who is fast and can beat a man. He fits the profile of what we are need. He never developed at psg but it doesn't mean he cannot flourish here.

Either him or Douglas Costa would suit us well.

All the players we are being
Linked with are solidly in their mid 20s. No youngsters out there ready to step up?
I think Mourinho is looking for instant quality this summer, and rightly so. We have a bit of catching up to do already, and City and Chelsea will be strengthening heavily as well.

He's one of those that seems underwhelming because he isn't a world beater and has underachieved considering the massive potential he had but is someone who would instantly become our best right midfielder and bring bring genuine quality to that side that we've been lacking for years.

Good player for Epl , But not sure for UCl.

Yeah we have enough young lads with potential. Our first team desperately needs an injection of serious quality.

Lucas Moura/Douglas Costa would be a better fit for Jose's counter attacking strategy than Bernardo Silva. Gutted to see a player like Bernardo join City, but I believe in Jose, and with the added attraction of Champion's League football, I think we can get most of our Targets.

Perhaps you are right that he is not ready for the big games yet, but maybe Maureen realised that Moura has the potential to become better with his guidance. I see why not? Who knows, maybe Moura is a fast learner?

The potential, the talent and now quality is there, I guess just need the right guidance to bring it to the next level.

On the one hand hes a bit average. On the other... a winger with pace is something we lack! Though hes definitely in the mold of kick and run rather then a proper winger who can pick out people in the box and has a good end product.
What I would give for a young giggs, or really anyone who can cross well and has pace :(

If he's going to try and use the counter attack as our main strategy we are in trouble, you can use it against teams that play to win, but at least 14 of the sides we play in 28 games each season will set up to defend against us, wont want the ball and will be happy to take a point, you have to enter the bulk of matches an underdog to build your main system around counter attack.

He has been very good defensively, winning the ball high up and down by PSG's cornerflag. He seems to have lost a slight bit of pace, I remember watching him thinking there was no one faster than him with the ball at his feet before PSG signed him. Still would be a much needed signing, Him or Douglas Costa would solve our winger issue

It's why he likes the Drogba/Zlatan big striker up front. Vertical passing into them from defensive positions in games where we need to counter and physical presence against teams that drop deep and defend.

Yep, it's why we've had no counter attacking quality this season on a whole and it's been non existent since Rashford became the #9, because we don't counter as a unit moving the ball quickly, Jose counters with the hoof to the striker and he has to hold it while the rest rush to get onto a lay-off. The only counter attacking goal I can think of from us was Martial vs Burnley.

It's strange so many people calling him a tricky winger. I can see that for Costa, but Lucas is one of the biggest kick and run merchants around. PSG tried to discipline him, and it seems like in the big games he's reluctant to run at space anymore, which transformed him into a nothing player passing sideways. With that said, if he is coached correctly and given confidence again, the EPL is tailor made for him.

He seems like a Mourinho type of player, but he hasn't progressed much in his 5 years in Paris. I don't think he's that good.

Lucas has skilful flair, high pace, excellent technique and agile dribbling. However, his end product (goals/assists) hasn't quite matched his potential yet, although I think he'd do well in the Premier League. That being said, a player who doesn't want to be here shouldn't be a part of our plans whatsoever.
How much goals is enough for a winger if 19 isn't impressive?

He reminds me of Walcott, very fast and a decent finisher but with shit for brains.

Much better dribbler and better defensively. He can be frustrating in terms of decision making, but there's a lot to like about him.

With the onset of Griezmann we are replete with inverted forwards/mifielders yet scant with pure wingers. We need a guy like him who can come off our bench and provide a different dyanamic ala Martial.

He's one of 3 players that for some reason seem very similar to me. Willian and Douglas Costa being the others.

Brazilian, wingers, could be wing-backs, great athleticism, speed and dribbling. Suspect decision making in the final 3rd.

Neither of 3 excites me but if they're what Jose feels he needs to make us competitive, I'll trust him on it.

Just the sort of player we need, but doubt PSG would let him go, unless they are still living in 2013 and want Januzaj of course..

What's that then?

He looks more like Valencia than Walcott in the video.

Doesn't seem to have the pace I thought he had, yet is strong in the tackle.

I think a PSG fan could explain his position in the side this year.

Looking at Whoscored, he seems to have had a very decent season. What the hell, sign him.

No thank you. Turned us down before and he's declined in terms of quality/hype since.
