Television Lost: The Final Season

You have to realize as well Kouroux this isn't your typical show. It can have a slow build up but the rewards are worth it imo.

What do you think of the on-island action anyway? Who's your favourite character so far?
My favorite characters are Sawyer,Eko,Jin and Locke (so far).I think the plot and suspense are very good.
I like Sawyer's attitude, the way he talks. It makes me laugh all the time

Ever since the time travel thing this is gone down the drain. My head explodes with all these time leaps.

Are you watching the English language or French language version btw? Sorry if its a strange question, i just can't imagine how they dealt with the French radio message in the first season. Or did they simply change the language of the radio message?

Seeing as it was Rousseau who recorded it I think its safe to say it stayed French.

I meant they might have changed her entire nationality as her being French hardly had any major importance in the show, and they could have easily made her German or something. And I haven't seen the first season in about 5 years so you'll probably be in a position to shoot me down here, but didn't they make a big deal of them not being able to understand the message? which if he is watching with French voice overs becomes complicated

Easily made her German? So you think people in different countries will pretty much get a different show to everyone else?

And even if they did change the language French people could just watch the English version and translate it...and same for Germans if they changed it to German

They surely will have changed the language.

Imagine how stupid it would be if they were asking if anyone speaks French.....in French

But they would have had to make certain characters backgrounds completely different...and surely an over dub doesnt make them that nationality, like Jack etc are still american but they are speaking French as its over dubbed so it wouldnt be stupid if they ask if anyone can speak french...

I'm not happy.

I loved Sayid. :( Bit daft that since the last episode he became more of the old Sayid - I hope they will tell us why, even if it's some daft reason. Better than no reason at all.

I really wanted Sawyer to believe Jack, and thought he was going to.

Sun tried to make Jin go, but didn't once mention that he should leave for their child.

Can't cope with Jacob being evil too as someone suggested he might be.

I don't think Widmore is as bad as we think.

And where is Desmond?

Desmond is in a well alive and well (see what i did there? no? fair enough) according to Sayids last words

Better safe than sorry and all that. It's no effort to click a button, and it beats feeling the wrath of GB and the like.

Wait, this is the first time kouroux has seen this show? What are you doing in this thread? Get out before we ruin everything!

Cheers.Luckily I haven't been spoiled but I won't take chances anymore and will leave till I'm up to speed with the latest episodes.Cheers for the info everyone

Maybe the MIB is still good. Jack kept saying he was staying on the island, and so Locke gave Jack the explosives, because he wasn't going on the sub, and Locke was.
'To finish what I started' could also mean he is going to get Jack, Kate, Hurley and Sawyer and still try to get them off the island.

Jesus, let it go, he's quite clearly not good at this stage.

Here's my theory. I'll use spoilers just in case.

When Jack set off the bomb, it worked exactly the way he wanted it to - everything changed, hence the flashes sideways.

That is, in fact, the reality now. And whatever happens on the island is irrelevant. What's really happening is off the island.

Everyone will live because they never crashed. The alternate universe might end with the death of all of them, but they will all survive in the reality created by the bomb.

The interesting thing - which may have been covered, but I missed it - is that in the sideways flashback, their lives were different before the flight from Sydney - Locke getting on with his father, Sawyer a policeman, etc.

I think that would be a cop-out though, and make everything we have seen on-island moot. The past 6 years of island acion would be pointless and the deaths of people like Charlie would lose all meaning if he were to just be alive again in the end. I hope the writers are better than that. I think they will be.

The finale is being directed by Jack Bender, who did episodes such as Flashes Before Your Eyes, Through The Looking Glass, There's No Place Like Home, The Constant & The Incident. Good stuff.

How would you end it?

Not a chance in hell.

I have no idea how they'll tie in the alternate timeline, but I'd probably have it with everyone getting off the island except Jack, who stays to help them escape/be the new Jacob. Would end with Claire, Hurley, Sawyer etc.. getting off and Jack stuck on the island with MIB. Obviously the details are sketchy, not sure about Desmond for instance, I can see him needing to die but I just can't accept that

I still can't figure out what Widmore is upto?

I think that ultimately Widmore is 'good', but just doing what he needs too in order to ensure that MIB doesn't escape. I reckon since he left the island he has spent his years looking to get back, possibly because its his destiny to try and stop MIB

I just dont get the whole Ben-Richard-Widmore angle anymore.

He tried to blow them all to bits, and succeeded in getting Sun, Jin and Sayid :( killed.

My way of looking at it is Widmore was just angry about being exiled by Ben and wanted revenge by getting Ben off the island. At the end Widmore just wants the island, and if MIB is not stopped he will lose it.

I'd end the show with Desmond and Penny living happily ever after

Bit off topic i know, but a couple of questions I got asked by my friend who is watching season 5 and started 6.

Why did Richard go along with Jack when he wanted to set off the bomb?

And also why was the island on the bottom of the sea in the first episode of this series?

Was asked these earlier but wasn't sure so answer it you Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime

- Richard went with Jack to show him where they had buried the bomb, then to show them a way to get back into the Others camp.

- The island was at the bottom of the sea in the alternate reality, we don't yet know why it is there.

For those who have seen the ABC released sneak peek's for tomorrow episode -

Looks smashing doesn't it. This is going to be more epic than Ab Aeterno. Seems like we're going to get all them questions answered finally after all.

Oh my, lads look at this from LP - no spoilers its just an amazing catch from The Candidate:

A friend of mine just sent me pictures of MiB falling into the water, and it appears he almost bleeds darkness, although it could just be him turning into smoke as he hits the water...

I did a quick search, but I didn't see anything on this.
