Television Lost: The Final Season

Can somebody tell me what the last episode was? 13 or 14?

I thought it was 14 but thankfully I'm unable to find any megavideo links, please don't help me with this

Desmond , Desmond , Desmond. For me he is the key to all things happening/happened/going to happen on both the island and in the parallel world, we will have to wait and see.

Regarding Kate, I know a lot of people hate her but I still don't want her to die, probably because she's hot, but also because she's been there from the start. However I can't see her dying so soon after being shot. I can't see her dying from another injury and to die from her wound would have little emotional impact. For me there's only two options though, I think she's either staying on the island or dying. If she leaves the island she's going straight to jail for breaching her court order to stay in California.

Also wow didn't Sayid have a sucky life? All that stuff in the Rep Guard, having to try to get his mate to blow himself up, torturing people on the island, being tortured at least twice, both women he loved died in his arms, got shot by Mikhail, shot by Ben's dad, died, become a soulless zombie, then actually died again.

I don't really get the Sayid arc to be honest.

We were led to belive he had become infected by Flocke - this was confirmed by the torturing ninja. Then how come he suddenly turned it around and saved Desmond and the people on the sub?

If it was just a case of him being semi-evil so that he could be reuinited with his girlfriend, then what was all that infected crap about?

I think it's quite similar to when Flocke told Richard to kill Jacob but not to let him speak. And Dogen told Sayid to try and stab Flocke but not let him speak. Maybe Desmond has the same persuasive powers when he speaks. It's setting him up to be very important. Also, let's not forget Claire's 'infected' but she got on the boat and wanted to leave

Yep, couldn't agree more. They really got to clarify this infection/'the sickness' business. Because both Claire and Sayid have shown to revert to their former selves under the slightest persuasion. I guess we'll know more once we have a better picture of who or what Smokie actually is. That still remains the key to answering allmost all of the pending questions at this point.

Im still watching the wire and sopranos so nobody spoil it

To be honest, whatever way they end it now, the writers cant win. Fans are always disappointed by the endings

There's a part of me that could be so critical, not just of Lost, but of other series I've invested my time and energy into, but I much prefer to just enjoy it. Especially on first watch, when you do not know what will happen. Internet forums are bad for generating an overly critical consensus on this type of show

Some are a bit pointless yeah, but some do help to understand the characters on island actions.

Tbh I'm just at the 10th of the 2nd season and already I'm tired of the ones including Kate and Jack.So boring

You'll give it up soon, Kouroux. You're an intelligent bloke after all.

 Very nice way to make me stop watching it Spoon and I reckon by the way I'm getting fed up it'll be soon

Sometimes watching a series back to back isn't the right way to experience it. The thing that got me hooked on Lost - I didn't keep up with the first series initially - was watching a cliff-hanger, and then waiting a week to see how it was resolved. The hatch episode took a year to be resolved. I don't think it would hold the same level of intrigue if I was watching it for the first time back to back.

I agree with you.

He must be checking it everytime its bumped, hoping for an opening to squeeze in one of his comments.

You have to realize as well Kouroux this isn't your typical show. It can have a slow build up but the rewards are worth it imo.

What do you think of the on-island action anyway? Who's your favourite character so far?

Yeah watching the whole thing through in bulk for the first time isn't a great way to do it unfortunatly. The flashbacks are great for what Lost has always been best at, that being character stuff, but some (Kate, always Kate...) become far too repetetive, and definitely grate when watched too close together. I suppose watching it all in one go, you'd be more interested in the plot development though.

Yeah, you're French, you gave the world French New Wave, Goddard, Truffaut, Juenet, Juliet Binoche, Tautou, Lautrec, Cezanne, Cantona, NaniNanna. . .et al. You clearly shouldn't be watching this. . .you've got too much class for this awful pile of crap. Do me. . .no yourself a favour and watch something else.

Wow, there goes a spirit in the shape of an invisible flying dildo with time travelling abilities. . .

I think Spoony is dying to know what happens just like the rest of us.

I suppose the main difference being that he won't feel dissapointed if it's a let down.

Spoony checks for negative posts and then latches on to them so he can get a comment in

I bet he still watches it but has gone too far in this thread to show that he hates it. Then he sits down and reads the thread fantasising about all the theories and what's going to happen and begins a post about how a theory of his own works. And just before clicking 'Post Quick Reply' he remembers he can't do that and writes '...yeh that was shit...'
