Television Lost: The Final Season

who is wallace ? maybe both jin & sun are candidates.

she also said last season that lapidus could be a candidate.

maybe 1 is hidden and only jacob knows who he is ?

We are yet to find out the identity of Wallace but his name was on the lighthouse wheel and was not crossed out. His number is 108 so he probably has a big role to play, afterall they could have given Kate 108 instead of 53

The feck when did I say that? And thats not a spoiler.
You said that the fact that the Dharma Initiative existed in the alternative timeline was only speculation/theories up until yesterday's episode, which it wasn't because we see the underwater island and Dharmaville on it in the first episode of the season. Which kind of would prove there and then that the Dharma Initiative existed in that timeline too.

Ah, I know, I'm just getting carried away with everybody else posting in spoiler tags.

Yeah, they were six candidates, with the numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42. Two of which were Sayid and Locke. The others were Shepard, Ford, Kwon and Reyes.
No she was right, Kate is a candidate and is number 53, as Sayid is still alive he still counts.

With Lost there could have been many possibilities as to why DV was on the sunken island, it could have been normal houses built by randoms for example. Nothing was confirmed untill yesterday.

I don't think that the crossing out is based on dead/alive status only. Wasn't the name Linus crossed out? Are we to assume that Ben was not a candidate but that his father was? Don't think so.

The exact same houses? Come on. I get your point, but do you really need every thing to be told outright before you actually believe it?

In Season 5 when they were time traveling they took an outrigger from the beach which had Ajira Airways bottles in it, to travel to the Orchid. During this they started getting shot at by another outrigger behind them. We couldn't see who it was but Juliet started firing back, she hit one of the people on the boat behind them and then there was another flash which took them to 1988.

Ah right, I remember that now. Oh and...

Did any one else clock the convo between Lapidus and Ben .

about how he was supposed to be pilot of 815 but the alarm did not go off. Ben said it did not matter because Island got him later anyway.

Replace alarm for bomb and you possibly have some hint or foreshadowing about where the alternate timeline is heading.

Ben never came into contact with Jacob, his Dad could well have.

Of course not but all I am saying is that it was confirmed in yesterdays ep thats all.

I like the idea, but the bomb did go off. Although I still think the general premise is right, the stories must re-align somewhere...

Sayid is just such a badass. Also Flocke talked to Ben, but Ben still chose the 'good' side. Kind of contradicts Dogen's words. Or maybe, if the alternative timeline is showing the opposites of what they are on the island, then Ben is actually just evil and is going to do something bad later on.

It didnt contradict Dogens words at all, Ben didnt get the sickness.

Might be because ben isn't a candidate. Although Flocke has talked to sun, lapidus, Jin etc and they all seem fine too.

It's possible/theorized that she died in Keamy's teams attack on the Barracks in S4 when her house blew up with her in it. Sawyer ran across to get her shortly after 3 random redshirts spastically got shot one by one.

So how do you think Widmore found the island now? The island has moved in time since the freighter found it.

If Eloise used the lampost to help him, why wasn't he able to convince her for the last 20 years? And more importantly, who's he going to side for? Don't see his angle to the entire thing unless they show why he was banished from the island in the first place. Is there a Widmore centric episode this season that has been announced yet?

My guess is that Richard left and got him. Why? I'm not sure yet.

Ah yeah good thinking, that would make sense as that was just before she disappeared.

There must be a reason why these two then, as hypothetically speaking he could have taken any of the numerous people who have died on the island.

Possibly because the two of them were candidates.

When Richard said he was touched by Jacob so that meant he couldn't die. When Jacob was going around and visiting the candidates how many of them did he actually touch?

Did we see Claire's name crossed out on the candidate lists? That would suggest that this theory is true, since Locke was crossed out by Flocke in the cave scene with Sawyer.

All of them. He brushed hands with Jack when he gave him the Apollo Bar, touched Sayid on the shoulder as he was looking at the map before Nadia was run down, touched Locke after he fell out of the window, touched Hurley in the taxi, touched both Kwans at their wedding and brushed hands with Sawyer when he gave him the pen. He also tapped Kate on the nose as a child.

Edited and sorted now.
So I guess it doesn't make everyone mortal.
