Television Lost: The Final Season

I just assumed that was because he wanted to die because he had no purpose in life? He went to Aussie to reform the band with his brother. But the brother had cleaned up his life and had a family. Therefore no band = no point of living

Perhaps it's the universe course correcting, or perhaps Charlie was experiencing something akin to what Jack was, some sort of awareness of what was happening. Considering in S3, Charlie was actually supposed to die, it would be a poor bit or writing in my opinion if Charlie just didn't want to live.

EDIT: It was also yet another instance of Charlie narrowly avoiding death.

And on Des. If he never met Penny, he may never have joined the military, wouldn't have gone on the boat race and therefore wouldn't have bumped into Jack. Essentially everything we know about Des bar the monestary and ditching his ex has probably been altered.

thats the conclusion i came to.

but how many times have we seen irelevent things, which may ask get us asking quesitons at first

It's kind of ironic that whenever the Losties try to fix things they make it much worse. I have a feeling that Bizarro world (someone will understand the ref) will have bad consequences for all of the Losties apart from a certain John Locke (the only 1 who didn't want to return). Maybe he's the only one who will have a happy life back in LA.

i think thats where the "fate" aspect comes into things.

I know it won't be what happened but Des could have just gone to the loo.

Cheers, I was thinking it was him.

Wierd how

Sayid shot Ben jnr, and he was the one who had to be taken to the temple to be reincarnated

So is Sayed still Sayed, or is he now Jacob?

But we saw his spirit or whatever, talking to Hurley.

So is his spirit now in Sayid's body?

Good thinking, could be for all we know. But the difference is there's the spirit of the monster as John and then there's John's body. Whereas this one seems to have taken over Sayed's body (actually would make sense what with Jacob specifically saying he should be taken to the temple even though as the Asian guy said, he was beyond repair).

They said they had to hope Sayed lived too - maybe he has to be alive for Jacob to take over.

Jacob needed a host body, but if that was the case, why did it matter if Sayed died.

Too many people don't have a clue about what's going on.

Well boo hoo some people have better things to do then rewatch 5 seasons of a single tv programme. Stop looking down at people just because they are taking their own pace at watching the show instead of wanting to bum the producers. Jeez.

I havnt re-watched it for a good few years now. I just find it annopying when people keep on asking the same simple questions even though they have already been answerd in previous posts.

He is still sayid.

The water was dirty so it took longer to heal him.

We don't know that at all Vidared, you're simply assuming that. Remember what happened with Ben when he was young. Richard warned Kate/Sawyer that if they took Ben to the temple he'd never be the same again. It was enough to really piss off Widmore when he found out what Richard was doing.

But we have no idea what the side effects are of being 'healed' in the water (the dirty water which appeared to be a real shock to the others, i'm pretty sure they said it was meant to be clear?). Also bare in mind that Sayid has been an absolute wreck since going back to the island.

His life is a wreck and he has nothing to live for thats why he tried to commit suicide by chocking on the drugs. He swallowed that because he wanted to die.

thats what youd think at first, perhaps theres more to it ?

nobody knows the answers or whats going to happen, its just fun speculating.

You didn't know? We're top-lost-fans (similar to Top Reds, but instead it's people who have watched every episode of L.....oh you get the picture!)

Sam here. After having spent the last 6 weeks watching Lost most days, a week without is seeming like a ridiculously long time!

That wouldnt surprise me either Vida, Locke has always been going on about light and dark sides after all

But I still doubt it

Having two living Lockes would be incredibly shit imo.

Lets hope the writers don't keep us waiting till the end.

Although i think something will happen to the real locke in the next episode because they can't keep a dead body lying around for eternity.

The way they zoomed in on it made me think that was the case...

I still think Jacob will somehow use Jacks body to come back to life and thus returning to the old Jack vs Locke theme

Weds is gonna be great, new episode and then the Villa game :D

Also does it feel like it's been fecking ages since the first two eps for anyone else?

Mate, I watched it on Sunday and that feels like a lifetime ago. Life after Lost will just be an empty void.

My plan for when Lost finishes:

Buy the complete set on Blu-ray when released,
Re-watch, re-watch, re-watch,
Buy the new Lost video game when released,
Play, play, play!

:D

I have high hopes that when I rewatch the whole thing I'll get things on a whole new level.
