According to Louis van Gaal's post match interview he predicted before the match the team that deals better with the pressing will be victorious, Liverpool were not lacking in desire to press but United had clearly trained to play against their press, Liverpool couldn't really get near them enough and it was the same with spurs. He even said the second half was poor from United because they didn't press well.
Just caught the end of the Channel 4 news and they were showing Mata's goal while saying 'things went from bad to worse', then proceeded to talk about the result damaging Liverpool's Champions League hopes. Why not praise United and mention how our CL hopes have strengthened?

I don't see anything wrong in rival fans posting on a football team's forum. Good for banter and you find out more details about other teams through interaction. It gets irritating when opposition fans try to wind up the fans of the team of which the forum is, way too much. Or in some cases, are just deluded beyond repair.

After the match on Sky, the comments were, mostly if not quite all, about how and why Liverpool didn't win and how they will react. As well as spending time listening to Gerrard's 'mea culpa' crap, at least a third was spent with Henry and Carragher debating why poor, frustrated, Stevie had done it. There was a brief mention of Mata's 'brilliant' second half goal.

Today was just too funny for words. The plaudits and pundits praised them all last week like they're the next Giants of the EPL. Everyone gave up on us. LVG wiped the floor with Dodgers, and to top it off Scouse violence on the pitch was finally, and correctly, penalised. Reality is restored

To be fair, I'd imagine that was because Liverpool have been in good form lately and often get a result against us at Anfield. Not to mention that until the Spurs game, some of our football had been rather poor, even if we'd been managing to get some results.
He was a decent enough guy. Took wind-ups very personally sometimes and wasn't always the greatest of posters, but he dealt fairly well with a lot of the jibes he received. Decent guy in the General forum too.

Seemed to go on a bit of a meltdown. Praised Skrtel for his stamp on De Gea, and due to an accumulation of warning points was apparently on the verge of being banned anyway.

I chuckle every time I see someone say "Barney's alright" or some other such nonsense. He was a cnut. He lacked any kind of intelligence or charm that might sometimes afford a cnut a bit of leeway in life. Contributed absolutely nothing other than sliming around the scouse threads and generally acting like a butthurt school kid, unless you count the fact it was mildly funny to observe his dimwitted attempts at WUMing. I don't remember him once contributing to a thread where someone asked for help, or him posting something funny or interesting or worthwhile, ever.
Agree with this. Some scouse fans were saying their team 'wasn't up for it', on the contrary they were pressing like crazy but they were really chasing shadows. Our technical quality and shape was absolutely perfect during those opening 30 minutes.
Oh well... Just slowly getting back to being the most hated club.
