Liverpool 2014/15 | WARNING: Contains strong amounts of Scouse nonsense

Were do you get that from? Can, Moreno, Lallana and Markovic have fit in very well, it's only normal they needed some time to adapt at first. Lambert and Balotelli always had a high probablility of failing at Liverpool and Lovren has been a bad signing so far, yeah.

Well if I remember correctly you lot were playing really shitty football in Rodgers first season. So the entire team took some time to adept to his methods I felt. In his second season you lot took off and even challenged for the title. Now at the start of this season Rodgers again introduced a lot of new players to the squad and you guys struggled again for the first half of the season at least and only now the team seems have have settled again with the new signings beginning to have an impact. I felt Markovic and Lallana looked anything but good signings in the first couple of months but they adapted faster. Maybe I'm wrong but I feel that most players struggle under Rodgers for at least a couple of months, some take a year to get used to it and others of course never make the cut.

Basically all I was trying to say is that calling someone a failure if he struggles in his first season under Rodgers might be premature as I feel it has happened to a lot of players in your team, that are now a vital part of it, as well.

Oh alright, I thought you called out our summer transfers specifically. It might be true that Rodgers has a difficult style to adapt to but so far our newest signings have done quite well, imo. Most of them are adapted now and we're still in the top four race and competing for a trophy so I'm not too bothered about it. I hope we won't buy too many players this summer, only a couple of specific buys in the areas we've indicated. Our squad depth is okay now, we shouldn't be looking for squad players anymore but for players that'll immediately fit in our starting eleven and improve the team significantly as well.

.

That applies to any club though. From what I have read on here Di Maria, Falcao and Shaw haven't exactly been that great, especially given how much they cost.

Seriously ? Like wasn't he one of the top CBs in the Pl last season ? So not "same as he always has been" then.
The Lovren myth should stop. He was very good for half a season, ok for the second half. His level before that and since then shows that it was more a blip than anything else (or just benefitting from playing next to Fonte).

Lovren was good last year but not good the whole year, in the 2nd part of the season his regular brain farts started to show.
Add to that even last year he had problems with positioning himself (as Carragher showed in one show with G. Neville), difference was his midfield could cover his positional mistakes and as Rooney in Dublin said his good season was a blip.

He plays like his head isnt in the game and is always on a verge of doing something stupid. He can have a good game and suddenly make a penalty or a handball or sthing. Of course he can sometimes play a whole good game but as I said I think his head is the problem.

He isnt even 1st choice in the NT and our NT lacks good CBs.

Maybe he's thinking too much about his model career (his billboards all over Croatia) and not enough about football.

#LFC offered Henderson £80k per week (currently on £65k). That was swiftly rejected with him wanting around £120k per week. (James Pearce)

There's chatter that he's upped his demands because he's been given / will be given, the captaincy next season.

Future captain, one of the best midfielders in the country, one of our most important players, one of our best players.

In terms of midfielders in the Premier League, I'm not sure if he makes the top 10.

Captaincy. £120k is a hell of a lot though for him.

Meh. I think Sterling, Sturridge, Coutinho and Henderson all deserve to be on £100k-£150k pw moving forward.

In terms of midfielders in the Premier League, I'm not sure if he makes the top 10.

I'd put him close to the top five. It's not massive praise though because the standard of midfielders in the premier league is absolute rubbish. Gone are the days of Mascherano, Alonso, Gerrard, Scholes, a prime Fabregas, Essien, Lampard, etc. Now we're stuck with an overrated Matic and Toure and a past his best Fabregas.

 that post would be so much better if you hadn't of written that. I agree to the Liverpool points made but in the country? If true, it's says a hell of a lot about the PL if Jordan 'thick as pig shit' Henderson in one of the best midfielders in England. Christ

He definitely is one of the best in the country, but as I've already said:

That's actually quite a fair, and depressing, point. Midfielders in the PL are shite these days.

To be fair I wasn't actually dismissing your point, it is a sorry state at the moment. Something to which the media hasn't picked up on yet.

Schneiderlin, Matic, Fabregas, Cazorla and Toure make up the top 5 for me. After that it's anyone's guess. But if Henderson is approaching the top five, then I'd just add that Herrera isn't far off either. Albeit, the standard is absolutely woeful.

I'd say there's a very clear top three (Matic, Fabregas, Toure) followed by Schneiderlin, Henderson, Ramsey and Carrick. I'd put the likes of McCarthy and Herrera a rung below that.

So we'd refuse to pay Sterling what he wants, but instead would pay Walcott a similar amount to what Sterling is asking for despite Sterling being a better player? Makes sense.
Isn't one of the issues with Sterling that the club don't think he's old or experienced enough to be demanding those kind of wages? And that it could set a precedent.

Yeah, that's probably right, I forgot about Carrick.

Do you think Sterling will sign?

Planted story for me in the hope to put the shitters up the lad.

As much as I do rate Henderson, it's a sad state of affairs that he is in a position to legitimately demand £120k a week.

I don't rate Henderson but who are we to judge wage demands when we have two strikers on £250k a week that can't even score?

Safe to say ourselves, Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea will all be in Sterling's agent's ear this summer. Liverpool simply have to give him big money, they can't afford not to. Supreme talent.

As for Henderson, he's a good player but I still don't see him as a Liverpool captain personally. He's in the position to demand big money though, so fair balls to him.

Would take a swap deal for Walcott gladly, not that I want to see Walcott leave - but you can't turn away talent like Sterling.

Having said this, I don't see how such a deal would ever happen unless Sterling was adamant about leaving and Walcott was offered big cash by Liverpool.

I hope we are in to him anyway and try to sway him to sign for us.

As for Henderson - he's behind the likes of: Toure, Matic, Fabregas, Ramsey, Carrick and Schneiderlin. I think he's in the next rung below those mentioned players, but is still great, I've been a supporter of his on here for a while now.

You Arsenal fans are jokers, of course you'd take a swap deal. As if you'd get him though, City or Chelsea would see to that completely.
