Liverpool 2014/15 | WARNING: Contains strong amounts of Scouse nonsense

Yeah. Lots of hype with his reputation growing with every game he doesn't play. Pretty similar... :p

Strange considering Januzaj was getting compared to an 18 year old Ronaldo when he was on fire last season. Now the general opinion is he needs a loan or two to get games under his belt.

Polar opposite to the host of Liverpool players that get better the longer they're injured or dropped, such as Suso, Sturridge, Reina, Lucas & Sakho.

Or actually, you know, like play ? Sterling, Markovic, Can, Sakho, Lucas and Lallana. Strange you should have 2 of those on your list when the proof to the contrary over the past month has been right under your nose (it's called a TV). Anyone who doubts Sturridge's ability is just nuts, or jealous, or bitter.

I also agree playing well makes players go up in fans' estimations. Liverpool fans are pretty unique in that not playing escalates a players ability as much if not more than playing well.

Di Marzio is reporting that Balotelli and his agent are meeting with us in the next week. Could be a potential transfer?

Telegraph are saying we're positive that Sterling will sign a new long term deal, we're going to try and give Skrtel another deal and we also want to renew Coutinho's, Henderson's and Flanagan's contracts.

They're also saying we're going to resist bids for Lucas as we have no replacement lined up.

If all of them sign new deals, then we'll have all of our key players tied up moving forward which would be fantastic.

Neto has been proposed by the other members of LFC's transfer committee, but Rodgers is not sure he is the long-term answer. (Mirror) #LFC

Rodgers is prepared to gamble by waiting until the summer to sign a new goalkeeper. He's not convinced with Neto. (Mirror) #LFC

Telegraph and Guardian are both reporting that we're interested in Mathew Ryan. Telegraph saying we want Cech, but Cech is likely to want to stay in London.

Wow he's even been to the World Cup.

Australian keeper?
Yes. He's having a very good season so far, playing in the Asian cup right now. Won the best goalkeeper award in our league tonight, very much deserved too. I don't know if he'll fit at Liverpool though; he's an excellent shot stopper, has great reflexes and stuff, but he's not one of the biggest 'keepers around, think he would struggle in the PL, especially in the beginning. No doubt he's got a very bright future though, still only 22 years old.

Great to here (I'm an Aussie)!

Edit: and be here I mean hear.

I'd definitely be uneasy having a 'keeper that short in the Premier League. Imagine some of the hardy thugs marking him on corners?

That's 1cm smaller than Casillas and 2cm smaller than Barthez. Doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Casillas plays in La Liga where lumping balls into the box is less common while Barthez was an exceptional talent whose height used to cause issues. He used to have to punch almost every corner or cross away and there was numerous shots from distance a bigger goalkeeper would have got to. How's that going to go down with Rodgers wanting to retain possession?

If this is true it's hilarious and highlights the problems with your scouting.

Yeah but he's an Aussie, and all Aussies can do this:

Imagine him coming out for a corner and taking one of those over the pack.

Love how on the first mark the guy who got the knee in the back of his head from his team mate turns around looking thoroughly delighted to have helped.

He's a shit hack.
Never anything special in the A-league and continuously overrated for the Socceroos.

So Liverpool should/will sign him.

Well obviously it would be a good thing. But I don't know I could handle the Australian media.
We won 4-0 against Oman in the Asian cup and every pundit there mentioned several times how one save from Mat Ryan had saved the match and what a hero he was. Apparently incredibly routine saves are the difference between a 4-0 win and a loss.
Now if he was at Liverpool we would never hear the end of just how incredible he apparently is.
