The keeper is definitely at fault as well. Had the opportunity to put his foot through it but decided to take a touch for some bizarre reason.
 
Usual penalty when they are in trouble. Nothing we didn't already know. Mignolet is a bag of wank, they will still let in tonnes of goals this season.
 
fecking hell. Glad we got the 3 points but that was an abysmal performance.

I actually think I'd rather have Brad Jones in nets next game, Mignolet is just absolutely fecking atrocious.

They get a ridiculous amount of penalties, bit of a joke to be honest.
 
As wins go that's a bit nuts. This place is a whirlwind of good will and positive vibes.
 
That was supposed to be their easiest game in the groups, right? They're fecked.
 
Jammy bastards, hope they don't get Champions League next season, they are a waste of a selection.

Chelsea/Arsenal/United and City should be the ones representing the Premier League and English football in Europe for the foreseeable future.

Ah stop. We used to laugh at people who suggested this about United. It was a bad decision but we've seen worse. The ref only gets a split second. Without Sturridge, Liverpool are bad. Even with him they're going to struggle. Not getting top four for me. Feel free to quote me.

Lallana, Sakho, Lovren, Mignolet are all poor. Balotelli scored a good goal, but he won't be prolific for them.
 
Was it a pen? They get an awful amount of penalties (fair enough, they're an attacking side so it's to be expected) but most of them aren't actually pens. Incredible amount of luck.
 
They have made some atrocious signings this summer, they have went so far backwards that I can see them struggling on all fronts this season

Suarez movement was so key to Liverpool's success last season and it's just completely non-existent now
 
They won't make it out of that group and all I honestly can't wait until we play them. Di Maria will have a field say against that back four.
 
As I've posted elsewhere Rodgers really spent that 110m horrendously. Almost Moyesian in the small time approach to buying mid-table players. In fact, if you gave Moyes 110m to blow I'd almost guarantee that Lallana, Lovren and Lambert would be bought.

Glad to see them scrape though. Ideally I want them to prolong their CL campaign into the QF and finish outside the top 4. That way their better players (Sterling in particular) will get a good taste of CL but know that they're not getting it next season - not at Liverpool at least.

So hopefully they scrape out of the group and Rodgers laughable squad juggling will continue. Although, based on tonight's showing I'm not sure they're a strong enough force to even make it out of the group. Fingers crossed!

Just laughing at your performance. I think it's fair to say that the bubble has burst. It took a dive and penalty to beat a second rate Bulgarian side.
 
Mignolet with another cockup that makes you question his basic grasp of keeping.

Valdes can't sign quickly enough.
 
They are bang average without Suarez and there's only so much Sterling can do alone. Also they are missing Sturridge badly. Top 4 is ours to take ahead of them.

West Ham away on the weekend which could be a tricky game for them if Big Sam gets the team fired up and the crowd get rowdy.
