Just a fecking game with 2 sentences for a lyrics.
Big bunch of queens.
Big bunch of queens.
I can understand that not all muslims are like that but the majority are and it pisses me off.
Indeed, but the following post has been directed at me so I shall reply.
Well, I could have phrased it better for a start. I am not christian btw, I believe in no religion.
Well, it's true. They come over to the UK or whatever and then they expext us to change the way we do things because they get offended by the tinyest thing. For example, I can remember not too long ago a christian girl who wore a neckless with the cross on it to school was banned from wearing it because some muslims were offended, but they seem to think it's ok that they can wear thier rag things (I know that sounds racist but I dont know what they are actualy called.) anywhere they want (and they get away with it). So I stand by that statement of if they don't like it here they should move because I for one am sick and tired of them doing shit like this.
Call it racism if you like, because I don't see it that way seeing as I do have a few muslims friends so I can understand that not all muslims are like that but the majority are and it pisses me off.
So anyway, is there any news on the release date?
How how you worked out majority of Muslims are idiots?
Do you realise Muslims have lived in the UK since the 186o's? A lot of Muslims, may be a majority are just as British as any other person born in the UK. So where do you propose they go back to?
Are you sure you do not have enough words in your vocabulary to call it a headgear/headcovering than call it a rag?
When did I call them idiots?
I'm on about the ones that have recently come over from where ever (mainly Iraq/Iran etc) surely you can see that?
And fair enough.
Are you sure you do not have enough words in your vocabulary to call it a headgear/headcovering than call it a rag?
Remember chaps, this is not the general nor the current events forum.
There is very limited immigration from Iran. The Iraqis are mostly refugees, and not very many
Can you please draw my attention to any trouble these particular groups are causing the host nation?
I agree, I ignored it but the lad has kept digging.
"I have Muslim friends"![]()
There not causing "trouble" it's just all these little petty things like two sentences in a song or the teddy bear being called Mahummad and they go nuts...
The teddy bear episode occured in Sudan, and we're not sure if the writer of the email resides in the UK. Even if he does, he has every right to ask the developers for a slight change to the lyrics. If they don't agree to his request then it's their right.
You went on a general BNP type rant regards Muslims in the UK.
What? I do, though I admit it is only 2 people..
Musician defends Sony game song
![]()
Toumani Diabate plays the kora, or West African harp
The Malian musician whose song is being removed from a Sony video game because of concern it may offend Muslims has denied the music was blasphemous.
Grammy award-winning Toumani Diabate said the song celebrated the Koran.
"In my family there are only two things we know - the Koran and the kora [West African harp]," he told the BBC.
The release of the much-anticipated LittleBigPlanet was delayed when it was found that a background music track included two phrases from the Koran.
Copies of the game are being removed from shops around the world.
Diabate, a Muslim, said it was normal in Mali to mix religion and music.
"I'm really sad and I'm disappointed," he said.
"I don't want anybody to joke with Islam and to not respect Islam."
Warning
The game's creator, Media Molecule, said it was alerted to the problem by a Muslim gamer who had been playing a trial version.
The gamer had warned in an e-mail that mixing music and words from Islam's most holy text could be considered deeply offensive by Muslims.
A Sony spokesman said earlier this week that the company had decided on global recall to make sure there was "no possible way anyone may be offended by the music in the game".
At the time, a spokesman for the Muslim Forum think-tank praised Sony for its decision, saying the Koran should not be set to music because the words are seen to have come directly from God.
Diabate said his song, Tapha Niang, was recorded in 2004.
It was released on the album Boulevard de l'Independance in 2006.
The changed version of LittleBigPlanet will now go on sale on 3 November in the UK and 29 October in the US.
Today!
You have R2 in a week or 2.
Goddamit Weaste, was this a windup?? - I asked them at the till and they looked at me weirdly and pointed out its being released on the 5th![]()
Ahh well the trip wasnt that much of a waste, I saw a Blu-ray copy of Blade Runner for a tenner and I hadnt seen the film so I though why not. Will give it a watch now.
So you've finally got a Blu-Ray movie, the quality is excellent.
Here here.
I have a 37" LCD 1080p, but I don't have a Sony DAV Home Cinema System:sighs:
I should take a picture of it with a written note pointing out that I have one and you dont...
Goddamit Weaste, was this a windup??
No, it's released now in the EU. I saw it on the shelves this morning.
Kinda in the air whether to buy this. . . is it something adults can play and enjoy?
when you die you only get three respawns as such from the portals you pass along the way.
Bought it. Wish I hadn't.
All about collecting loads of pointless shite, whilst progressing through (beautiful looking, to be fair) fairly standard platforming, run and jump stuff.
Fatally flawed by clunky controls and the weird way it tries to give a 2D platformer an extra dimension. Completely pointless and makes progressing through it into a bit of a lottery.
Which makes it pretty much unplayable when losing a few lives means you have to restart the whole level.
Hugely disappointing, IMO.
You've never liked it from the beginning though, so why did you buy it?
