Little Big Planet: Is this the game of the year?

if you want a peek at some of the stuff thats possible from the creation tools, you just need to search on youtube for videos from the beta.

All sorts there from rpgs, to working metal gear mechs and so on.
 
Had a go on a Mirror's Edge level, another real well made one. Go to the MM picks and find the Final Fantasy VI level and see that guys world, you'll find the level there.

I'm gonna have to give the old create mode a go tonight, i'll create an abomination of a level i'm sure.

Ended up buyint the new one today, it has been good but I can barely access online levels as it keeps kicking me out each time I try. It looks like it's a massive game, hope it doesn't get boring and has more stuff to do.
 
Wow, this is actually amazing. People have created so many interesting levels, even some lame ones have some creativity in them in spite of people not knowing how to make them properly. And this game has only been out for a week or something. I imagine the amount of levels available in the first one is about hundred times more than here, I will probably grab it sometime soon.
 
I started making a level this morning as i woke up at a god awful time and couldn't get back to sleep.

It's pretty simple but i'll pop it up after i get back from work so you can all admire it's averageness. Took me ages to figure out how to use half the tools, i suppose going through the tutorials might have helped.

Finally got it today. A reminder to everyone that today or tomorrow (?) is the last day to hop on the playstation store and download the free spaceman outfit, or the £3.99 ltd t-shirt. Grab the free one anyway. Also I believe you can do it without having the game installed so anyone who has ordered it or intends to get the game, you can download the free space suit too
 
Is it any easier finding the good levels in the online mode than it was with LBP1?

That was it's biggest flaw IMO. You were faced with an overwhelming amount of user-generated content, the vast majority of which was really shit. They badly needed to sort out some kind of easy to use rating system, so the very best games were easily identified.

Have they done this in LBP2?

They've got 2 sections on there called "Cool Picks" and "MM Picks". The first is the most downloaded games at the moment and the MM picks are ones chosen by the developers as one to look at.

You can still search through the dross if you like.

whats the name of the level? Or perhaps you have the lbp.me link to it. I'm sure we'd all like to give it a go

Trying to get some things done in the LBP2 level creator... Christ trying to work out how to do some things really does your head in.

The story went quite fast and its not as challenging as the first game. But still a good game and despite the headaches it'll cause, the level creator is full of possibility.
