I expect Pep to have quite an impact on his game
Im going to be p*ssed off if City get him, and get Stones. Also the signing of De Bruyne last year they will have 3 young players there with a high celing
We can't stop City signing players. Sane is still very raw. But Shalke were a shite team last year. I don't know what impact that had on his performances.Im going to be p*ssed off if City get him, and get Stones. Not concerned about any of them, although De Bruyne would have been a no-brainer last year, for us.
De Bruyne would be my early pick for player of the season next year if I'm honest. Not concerned about any of them, although De Bruyne would have been a no-brainer last year, for us.

This is straight up fee or there is addon?€50-60m - what the hell? He's no doubt gifted, but still a very long way off being a top player.

Serious question for you then. Would you rather Stones over say Rojo or Jones? Would you rather Sane over say Januzai, or Lingard?
I saw a fair bit of Sane last season and for me he would be perfect on the right for us, of course he still needs to develop and get better but he is only 19?
I think Stones has potential. I am not saying he will ever reach the level of say Rio or John Terry, but he cant be worse than Jones or Rojo
Jones is shit.I think Jones is a much better defender than Stones on the rare occasions he's fit for a run of games actually. Stones is similarly terrible to Rojo at marking.
Jones is shit.
Jones isn't that bad. If he could develop without injury. He would be part of the English setup and solid defender. I hope he has an injury free season and cut out all the rash tackle then he will be fine.

A year or two ago you could've said the same about Smalling to be fair. Now he's a caf favourite.I think you have better chances of winning the lottery than Jones does of having an injury free season.
Have you watched Johnes before joining US ? He was a damn good defender . SAF then moved him a lot here and there and now injuries too . He is always a better and will be a better defender than Stones. Stones is damn good with the ball but his defending barely impressed me anytime.
And again I dont think stones will move to US to be a third choice . And we already have Tuanzbe waiting on the door whose attirbutes are quite similar to Stones and in a year or two he will be competing for the third spot . And Williams is there too .
Sane is different . I am not sure how good he can be but he has the potential to be dangerous . But we just cant buy all the talents and we have just bought Mikhi to be the RW . I have a feeling Pep will revive Sterlings career and i'm worried about that actually than sane.
Jones was a decent defender before he joined us? You mean he was a standout player in a poor Blackburn side. The guy is always injured. It wouldnt make any difference to me if he was top quality. A player who is always injured is not worth sticking with. We have been down this road a few times recently with Owen, Anderson and Rafael to name a few. I would rather a player in the squad who will play week in week out and give me a 7/10 performance over a player who might play 30% of the matches and give a slightly higher rating
Johnes was not just decent .Jones made his first Premier League start for Blackburn against Chelsea on 21 March, just a month after turning 18 , and in the same season he made around 10 league appearances and at just 18. During the next season he started majority of games until the first injury (torn knee). His first season with us okay ( only some 15-20 games i believe ) but he couldnt stay fit after the first injury .
I am pretty sure Jose will go with Smalling and Johnes as our first choice CB's this season . If he stays fit he will keep is place or else he will sold in the next summer.
I watched Jones get decimated in the u21 sides. No way is Stones that bad.He is, but Stones is worse.

I get the feeling that once upon a time you had big expectations of Phil Jones...Saw that too, he was decimated pace wise. Not entirely his fault due to match sharpness, but like i said before a guy that injury prone is never then fit to play 8-10 games to get his sharpness back. I do feel sorry for the guy as in there could be a talent, but the longer his body is made of glass, the more difficult it will be for him. I would definetely take Smalling, Blind, Bailly and Forsu Mensa ahead of him
Not just pace, everything. Palmer made him his bitch in the game with Chelsea. Nutmegged him then turned around just to take him on again.Saw that too, he was decimated pace wise. So your saying sell Jones? With his injury record, we'd be lucky to get £10m for him. That's shocking value in this market considering he's still 24 and only 2 years older than Stones (who Everton want £50m for) and a year older than Micheal Keane (who Burnley want around £20m for). Yes he was dreadful after returning from injury for the U21's, but I'd much rather keep Jones and hope he can get over this injury plague than sell now for a pittance, only for him to go to another club and show that he is indeed better than Stones.Jones was a decent defender before he joined us? At this point I actually feel for sterling. Not because I like him or anything but because the media has ruined his career. He also isn't good enough as a player for a team willing to challenge for the league. At least from a consistent point of view. What do you do with an average player that cost 49 million?Sane and Nolito, unless nasri and Silva are being shipped out Sterlings future looks pretty bleak
Couldnt disagree more. Bailly will start over Jones, and Jones wont be fit enough to warrant being first choice as you put it, and actually ability wise he is behind the rest for me
Sane is currently in Los Angeles so no deal will happen in the next days.
He needs to get a brain cell or 2 implanted. He's insanely reckless. We will see . Jose comments about Baily points in that direction towards me , but John's need to get his sharpness back and be fit . SAF , Moyes and LVG said he is a good defender and thats good for me . His issue is just lack of fitness . He just needs to protect his body a lil more and Jose is the best guy for that
