You misread, I said 7 full matches, all his other appearances were from the bench or he was taken off. Had a quick google & I am indeed correct, he'd only completed 7 full matches in his professional career before his move, he wasn't exactly the most experienced of players is what I'm getting at although the stat is a little hand picked.

Guess it's just a wait & see whether he'll have an impact or not, I see similarities between the two transfers, similar age, both tall (for wingers) skillful good dribblers who cut in from the wing. He'd struggle to contribute less in terms of goals/assists compared to Navas at least, so has to be an upgrade in terms of output even at this stage in his career in my eyes.

Ah fair enough, yeah I'd be fairly disappointed fan if Sane couldn't better Navas if I was a City fan so definitely an upgrade.

I was hoping they would get fleeced for him. £30m is a fair price for someone so highly rated in todays market.
Yeah surprised he went for that price really

I know he hasn't proven much and with young talents...it can go any way....but thought he would for a similar price as Sterling

BBC reporting it as £37m + addons. Though to be fair they've probably gotten euros and pounds mixed up again

At the end of the day, City are paying what Shalke originally said they wanted.
Looking at the arena to Sanches, Marial deals, it's still a fair price.
If he reaches his potential, no one remembers the fee.

Everyone could do with Krychowiak, he's one of, if not the, best CDMs around.

Us more so than City, they got more defensive steel in their midfield than us with Fernandinho and Fernando.

Good signing, good price. Not much use for this season but should be a signing for whatever managers follows pep in a few years. Few selection headaches now, you'd think the likes of de bruyne is gonna struggle to get into a pep side

He's the second name on the team sheet only to Aguero - can't quite understand that comment really.

Which makes him first name on the sheet for half the season.

Its sterling that is obviously going to struggle this season. And given his performances, its not something he can complain about really.

Sky say £37m. Nice bit of business from city. Probably one for 2-3 seasons time though. Don't see him displacing Silva or Nolito, probably not even Sterling.
