If this Brandt is better, then maybe we should be in for him?

Completely agree with Mr_Bundesliga on this one. Give me Brandt over Sane every time, that's exactly what I'd be looking to do if I was Schalke.

City getting Sane would suck.

Come one, Bayern, swoop in and close it in 15 minutes like you usually do.

I dont see Bayern spending another 60m on a young winger. They splashed the cash on Coman and Sanches already. They want this Jesus guy too apparently.

If Bayern want him they'll just tell him to sit tight for another year and pay his clause.

Madrid, Bayern and Barca don't need him. So it would be between City, Chelsea and us to buy him. I'm looking forward to see him in the Euros, he could be another Martial if we sign him.

Problem is that there is no chance in hell for Schalke to take any of Leverkusen´s key players like Brandt, especially if they can´t offer CL Football. In Germany there are only two realistic destinations for a Leverkusen talent like Brandt and in our case probably only as replacement for a starter like Mkhitaryan.

Another great talent that we are letting rivals take. I think he is better than Embolo too.

As expected really.

Stones, Laporte, Gundogan and Sane. Not a bad transfer window and i think they will get one or two more to that.
talk about jumping the gun they only have one so far
As for Sane he would be a good signing but Sane, Stirling, Silva, Nasri, De Bruyne, Toure - thats a lot of players to fit in / keep happy (and yes perhaps a couple of them will go)

Erm sport are a spanish newspaper reporting about a german joining an english club while spain are playing in the euros ?

Apparantly on Tv it was announced Nolito had signed for city before the spain game had started(as in announced on tv before game started)

The journalist is said to be close with Guardiola.
The same journo who said Thiago was signing for united and he went to bayern.
Lets see if kicker/sportbild or other german papers pick it before saying its done.

Not sure how reliable said reporter is, but I don’t think that scenario is such an impossible one these days. Most reporters have connections all around Europe, and this kind of information could’ve been received from a Spanish club that tried to sign Sane, too. As an example.

I think Thiago was set for United until Moyes pulled the plug. We'll see.

The reporter is from sport its a barcelona based newspaper. i dont think barca have money to spunk on sane when they need players in different positions. I call bollox. I know he has been linked with city alot and he may as well wnd up there. I dont think the source is reputable enough to say its done.

You could be right, just disagreed in general about the opinion, that a Spanish reporter could not be the one who breaks a story about a German player signing to PL. City, in this case, has a lot of Spanish staff, so not an impossible scenario.

Yes. Moyes said as much after he got sacked. Giggs recommended he pulled the plug. Said "He isn't a United Player" :wenger:

It's a bit premature, but they have been linked to those players all summer by English and foreign media so i expect all transfers to happen.

Stupid move by him if true. The boy is still raw and needs all the game time he can get. The extremely strong competition on his positions there could very likely hinder his development.

We do love to worry on here about who Citeh buy dont we?
Same thing happened last season when they signed De Bruyne, Sterling and Otamendi, fortunately football is more than just names.

Although Guardiola is sure to improve them this time round.

The way most on the Caf rave about Sane (I haven't watched anymore than a youtube clip or two) I think it is slightly worrying as like Jose Pep is a top coach so will surely get more out of the current city players and looks to mean serious business in the summer market. Also I'm one of the few on here that do tend to believe City rumours more than United ones, I just think they are more decisive than United when it comes to transfers as they seem much more carefree with their cash due to their ridiculously wealthy owners.

Err I don't think they are more decisive than us with transfers considering how long it took them to build a good squad, and how much they've spent on defenders without actually getting a good partner for Kompany.

Quite possibly but he is also 2-3 times the price so that is to be expected. 60 million euros is a huge gamble on a young player but it can pay off like with Martial. If it doesn't then the club takes a huge financial hit. Maybe Embolo is a better punt when you look at risk to reward ratio?

To be honest, Sané seems to be a great right winger talent. Embolo, on the other hand, looks more of a striker than a right winger too me. That's why I would prefer Sané.

Decisive doesn't mean making the best choices though, obviously they have failed with several defenders but most teams us included buy someone you think will be at the required level only for them to disappoint.
When they want a player they do no not tend to take forever signing them. So yeah I will stick with what I believe you can obviously think otherwise of course.

From what I have seen of Sane he definitely appears to be a winger...as for Embolo I know very little about him. Even if we bring in him and Zlatan (to bolster the attack of Rashford and Martial) then I think that is the right amount of strikers. Also consider Rashford will be probably played less frequently under Mourinho and Martial may still be seen as a left winger. I could easily see us buying Ibra, Embolo AND a RW

I think it's a silly move by him
With KDB, Nasri, Sterling, Silva...city are loaded in that position.

Reminds me of when Goetze moved to Bayern because of Pep. Everybody thought he would really become one of the BPITW and if anything his game stalled.

You are totally right, IMO Dembele, Coman and Sane are the best young wingers. Embolo is decent on the wings but sometimes he is a little bit clumsy. All of them are young and they will improve but I think Embolo best position is second striker/striker, similar to Rashford.

Unfortunately, City are signing quality players while we are linked with unrealistic players like Pogba, Bale, Verrati, among others. It would be a dream singing if we manage to buy a top player but I cannot see it happening this summer.

Sane is a direct player with pace to burn. He is also strong and hardworking. I slightly prefer him over Mahrez and Mkhitaryan, the latter is better through the middle. The right wing should be a priority and the best available wingers are heading to other teams.

What players have City signed?
