Reports in Germany are that he will either go to City this summer (€50m) or to Bayern in 2017 (€37m).
Reminiscent of the de Bruyne situation last summer. de Bruyne chose City rather than waiting for Bayern, hopefully Sane will do the same. Although Sane is a couple of years younger and de Bruyne's wife was expecting a baby so he wanted to get a move sorted before that, hence Sane might be more receptive to Bayern's proposal
Lets hope he doesn't sign for City then, wouldn't it be fun to see Laporte and now Sane choosing to stay, and thus City maybe buying inferior plays. It will surely increase the chances of a poor season with Pep.
I really believe Pep although being a very good coach, needs players complimenting his philosophy, and hence failure to acquire them will be a big problem for him. Imagine Gundogon remains injured throughout the year, and he has to play tiki taka with Fernando, Fernandinho and Toure, it will be a huge downgrade from his Barca and Bayern teams lets see how well he cope up with it, if that happens.

They are although saying he tends to choice Bayern and they will sign a kind of pre-contract so Schalke can already invest the money. For him i think Bayern is the better spot for him with robbens and riberys contract running out in 2017 and regarding their age. Also he has one more year to develop while having guaranteed playing time. I really like seeing bayern going for high prospect germans and we definitly need future wingers but i´m not sure weither he or brandt is the right choice for this spot...
Bayern might decide they want Ousmane Dembele by next year.
De Bruyne, Nasri & Silva play centrally, Sterling plays on the left. Sane is a right winger so he's competing with a 30 year old Jesus Navas. It's certainly a position where we're weak & in need of reinforcement so I don't see why it's a silly move personally.
Vidal was his best midfielder last year.
Let's hope he hasn't learned anything from that.
It would be interesting if he joins Bayern since they have Coman for that position and I can't recall seeing either Coman or Sané as a left winger.
Would Bayern refrain from buying Coman as they prefer a German player? Can one of them also play on the left side? Would Bayern buy and sell Coman (doing a "Morata")?

If we sign Mkhitaryan as CAM (4231), I think Sane would be a good choice. Schalke already signed Embolo, so Sane could be available.

Soriano made comments to the BBC the other day that suggested City are close to a deal for a player but the Euro's are delaying announcement...can only think of Sane who we've been linked with strongly and is still in the competition.

Sterling was in trouble anyway, it all boils down to how he performs. Regardless of who we sign he had to improve this season and that remains the case. He'll be given the chance to do so. Silva is much safer, with Toure's decline we need Silva for his ability to control a game and keep possession.
One of the few Guardiola-style players in that squad. There are probably 20+ players higher on Pep's sell list.

He'll be a good signing for them IMO, I wonder if the fee will be structured like our Martial deal and Bayern's Sanches deal.
Sane and Nolito, unless nasri and Silva are being shipped out Sterlings future looks pretty bleak
Looks like he's the next big player for City, will replace Silva in the long term I guess. Bad for United... let's hope we can still smash them and that he won't adapt to the league pace fast enough to challenge for this year, and hopefully, never!

Every time (which wasn't much) i watched him, i was not really impressed. Some fancy tricks, but not much in terms of effectiveness. Had the makings of a Youtube-star to me. But then Bayerns Michael Reschke rates him and i thought the same about Renato Saches, so what do i know.
Seen him a lot, not convinced yet. Has a lot of potential, but he is still very, very raw. Not really fussed about this transfer yet, especially not for €60m. Awesome deal for Schalke though.
I like him. Don't think he will be a XI player this season.
€50-60m - what the hell? He's no doubt gifted, but still a very long way off being a top player.
