La Liga - 2014/15

I think any good coach would get a lot more out of an attacking trident of Neymar, Suarez and Messi. Think Enrique is just a mediocre coach who's been wheeled in to follow on with the exact same tired system.
exactly

to do what they are doing now, they could have kept Martino and that, without spending money on Suarez

Alba has the unique distinction of missing 3 consecutive chances which are somehow difficult to miss, and all of them were though over the top ball from Messi.
The way Barca is playing they would be fighting to avoid relegation if you remove Messi and Neymar.

Lucho Out :(

he has to go. Nothing wrong with the players, it's the coach. No motivation, no passion, no tactics. One of the most creative midfields in history has become one of the most clueless and predictable.

and we would have been 6th or 7th if it wasn't for Messi.
You do realise that Xavi has declined due to ageing right and has nothing to do with coaching? Busquets is playing through injury and has been for quite some time so that should perhaps he has not quite been himself for a while. Not everything is Enriques fault. If you win again today (which I think you will) then you will still only be two points behind the leaders Madrid.

Well atleast its putting to bed Cal's argument that Messi is only this good because he's playing with the likes of Xavi/Iniesta.

:nono: goal was assisted by Xavi, what a lay-off

Lately yep, though not so long ago that would have been Messi comfortably, can't remember the last time he chipped a keeper, used to be his trademark.

I think regardless of form Cristiano was always the better finisher inside the box anyway, if anything because of the variety of ways in which he can score. Messi's finishing from (just) outside the box in open play is fairly unique, so much so that it's a statistical outlier.

Tell you what, those two tackles on Xavi in the first half and now Neymar in the area would probably have been pens if it were Real.

Lovely set up by Messi. Think Neymar was just too weak though, not a penalty I reckon.

Neymar always good for a laugh, never a pen that.

And a lovely goal by Messi.

Indeed, he just needs to learn to get on with it... another great chance created by Messi gone to waste, theme of the season.

Incredible. Nice pass from Neymar to get the ball to Messi as well.

I don't understand why people are so against Lucho. Yes, they don't have same control anymore, but if they try to play 'exactly' like under Pep, they will fail. Xavi/Iniesta don't have same control/influence anymore as they had under Pep. I am not sure how much say Lucho got in Suarez signing, but Messi dropping deep helps them create chances like his ball to Alba. If Messi plays his old role, the chances which Iniesta used to create will not be there. Messi being left footed and drifting towards left more, he brings Neymar into play more than Suarez. If Xavi or Iniesta from other side can bring Suarez/Alves more into play, they can utilize right side too.
Their negligence in buying proper quality CBs hurt them. Have 2 good CBs, play Busquets AND Masch in holding role, Rakitic/Xavi/Iniesta to complete the trio or combination of any 3 from the midfield 5 depending on matches, and then the front 3 will be very effective.

Incredible. What a player. They really motivate each other. Wouldn't surprise me if he gets an Hattrick or more. Would their production reach this level without this "rivalry"?

1 man team

To be fair, Suarez's ball to Messi before the goal was fairly decent it has to be said, but yeah, they are really depending on Messi right now a lot of the time.

Good work from Neymar in the build-up there, he sure can dribble if he has some space. Meanwhile, Messi again on the edge of the box, this time with his right foot!

That's probably the game over now. Barcelona came out flying to be fair to them.

What an excellent finish by Messi's supposedly weaker foot. Suarez may not have scored in the league yet but he has set up quite a few. He is doing well and will start scoring eventually.

Floodgates opening now. Too easy for Pique who could go for it without really being challenged. Good header though.

I would say 2-man team. Neymar has been good this season.

He really hasn't. Decent scoring return, he's been a general disappointment in his all round play;. Messi's basically put his goals all on a plate for him.

Edit: ^^^ Almost another one there
