Since the first time I watched him at a under 19 Semifinal vs Portugal I said he was the best talent I watched post Cristiano, Messi and Neymar with the same age. Without injuries its a question of when will he win the Ballon D'or not if.

Not that I feel that is important for him, its just a award.
 
Have PSG been hit with sanctions yet. Is there any way this can be done? Imagine him on our right wing. Even Jose cannot make this boring.
 
This kid is something! Lucky oil slickers QSG. He needs to be in a proper club where he can play decent oposition often. Will be very interesting to see him develop. Scary!

Because Cavani destroyed Brazil? And not Portugal with 35 y.o. CBs and two poor FBs?

Mbappe vs Argentina was among the best individual performances this WC. Up there with Ronaldo vs Spain and Modric vs Argentina, maybe even better. He looks very very sharp.

Nah. Bigger match, but Mbappé performing against a shocking Argentina isn't on the same level as Cristiano against Spain.

Mbappe did nothing at a club level this season and his goalscoring record really is not that impressive scoring only 13 goals in the league and 4 goals in the CL.
A World Cup isn't enough to win a ballon d'or, mentioning Zidane or Ronaldo Nazario is underrating the individual seasons they had for their clubs the years they won their ballon d'or.


Also Argentina's defense was the worst out of the entire KO stage.

Stylistically, he is eerily similar to Ronaldo Nazario before his knee injuries.

And he's still young.

I'd trade Martial and Rashford for him.

Hes got qualities and definitely has frightening speed and strength for a 19 yr old. Id rather keep both over 1. Hes not better than rashford and martial collectively.

A hat trick composed of a howler from DDG and a pen against at team that struggled terribly versus Morocco and Iran. Very impressive indeed... Spain were average in the group stages.
It's easy to twist things to suit agenda but there is no way a group stage match is bigger than a R16 where a defeat or even a draw can get you home.

Players like Mbappe is a good reason for not spending heavily on players that will have to be replaced within 3-4 years. When we bought Pogba and Lukaku we bought players that will be with us for ten years (or sold for a significant amount). They were anong the biggest talents in the world, and the fee over their remaining «football life» seem fair/low. We will probably get some of their best football years.

When linked to players with 3-4 great years left (and probably years in recline) a lot of people feel negative, and a lot of fans in here get sarcastic about it. Take Willian as an example. The fee mentioned for Willian is £40-60 mill. Their is no way Willian, who is 30 this year, will be a starting attacker at Man Utd at the age of 34. So even in the lower range Willians fee appear to be 50-60 % higher than Pogba or Lukaku.

If Man Utd is not carefull buying players at their peak our cost level will be 50-60% higher than the clubs we are competing with (Real, Liverpool and City focus on young players in the transfermarket). This will unable us competing for talents like Mbappe because we have spent to heavily on short term stop-gap solutions. Its like pissing your pants when you are cold..

That being said, I like a strategy of buying past their peak, cheap players. A bit like Juve (with a couple of exceptions).
