Kylian Mbappe | PSG

Was always a stupid comparison. They don't even have similar play-styles.
Forwards who mostly start from a wide position. How are they significantly different? If you can't compare two players like that you can't really compare any players

Was waiting for this moment to mention that I defended him a year ago in a Mbappe vs Rashford debate.

Nice piece on the BBC about his footballing background. Supremely professional, dedicated and humble.

Makes all the difference in the world when your mentality is first class.

His pace makes him unplayable. Someone must have talked to him after the groups, there was absolutely none of the dribbling into trouble and pratting around with stupid tricks today. He was direct and aggressive.

Yes. Spot on, he's a great kid with a very good entourage (many of the people close to him have been in professional sports). It's helped him a lot.

When will he want to play in La Liga/Premier league? 24-25?

PSG don't give up their crown jewels easily so you're talking 300m + transfer fee I imagine.

And both his parents playing sports and being active in the community with kids in sport is just about the best thing you can have. I like the blend too, Cameroon and Algeria.

Exactly. No matter the ideal background, the player himself has to be humble and hardworking. So far the signs are great with him

Maybe never. He's from Paris, and with them in the financial position they're in, they will never need to sell him.

Kembo Ekoko is the determining factor.:)

Just saw this in BBC HYS...

Neymar: "Its fine, I'm young, I'll wait til Ronaldo and Messi retire and then I'll be the main man"

Mbappe: "Hold my baguette"

Well as long as we have an excuse to bash Rashford, eh lads?

Anyway, Mbappe is obviously a brilliant talent. Still a bit inconsistent (as expected for a 19 year old) but jezus christ, his ceiling is really really high.

I disagree, I think he’s pretty damn consistent, which at 19 is scary. I haven’t seen all his domestic games though so maybe he’s not as consistent as I think

Mbappe looks more impressive than Rooney 04. Beats defenders for fun.

Is there a reason why Rashford can’t do what Mbappe is doing?

He cannot because he is not just as talented and the mentality is different. Mbappe plays with so much hunger and willingness to improve.

Rashford also strolls around casually too much on the pitch and acts like he is already CR7.

I wish some of you could understand french because his interviews are honestly such a breah of fresh air. This kid is the real deal, so so intelligent on and off the pitch, it's scary. His maturity in front of journalists is impressive.

I don't know French, but I've been following his interviews with finding English translations or using Google. That's exactly what I thought. He has maturity IRL, intelligence in general.

I've always said it this guy is very special. Reminds me of Ronaldo De Lima. Let's do everything possible to get him signed up even if it means we wouldn't sign anyone else this window

Boy is special!

His penalty run clocked an average speed of 38 km/h. Faster than Bolt's 2009 world record 100m run(37.5km/h average)

:lol::lol::lol:

Ronaldo was a sublime dribbler/trickster, though?
Mbappe has got these tools too. His does what I call effective dribbling plus his devilish pace and lethal finishing. The boy is special and I'm sure you'd see more of him in a bit.
