Felt like he was sleeping. Was through but decided to slowly jog and also managed to overlook Garna on the left?. Didn’t bring his body in between when receiving the ball on multiple occasions.

Him running through on goal was genuinely hilarious. Imagine being a professional footballer and being that slow... Hell even Lindelof was probably embarrassed for him.
He's good...for a lower midtable club.
I noticed and called this out basically his first couple of games for us, but there were circumstances of him perhaps being undercooked at that point. Now he just looks incredibly unfit and that’s a huge red flag at this stage of the season. Not to mention, he is slower than anyone on the pitch almost every game. It’s astonishing that he is the profile we went for to support Hojlund. Just another example of why I am absolutely glad Eth has been asked to feck off. His tactics and his ability to judge players fit for the league had been thoroughly abysmal and made us somehow worse.

I'm a bit worried. I didn't pay much attention to all the criticisms he's received in the thread as it's a new league for him but any striker being put through on goal should be able to at least run and get a shot away. He almost looked bamboozled. I hope it was just the chance coming too early for him as he had just come on.
Which good position did he get into? Hojlund won us the penalty today. Zirkzee got outrun when he was through on goal with a headstart.

I'd suggest you make your way into the Garnacho thread and have a read.
He runs with all the elegance of a baby giraffe. I can't remember the last striker we had who looks so clumsy when sprinting at the opposition's defence.
I rather have Wheatley or some other youngster get subbed in instead of him. He is such a downgrade even on Hojlund, who is not very good in the first place. Brings the level of the whole team down.

Okay i admit, the Garnacho one is catching up. I just found it weird that Garnacho was useless for 90 minutes and ruined two very good chances yet some posters first had to go to the Zirkzee topic and call him shit eventhough he had a better game (extremely low bar) than Garnacho.

He maybe a #9, but he is not a #9 for a PL level club, let alone for Manchester United. Appalling scouting again. God knows what are they seeing in most of our purchases in the forward positions as they have mostly been atrocious.
Yeah I very rarely turn on a player this early but I don’t see it. Should try and get a decent amount of our money back imo.
Hoijlund only won it because Sanchez decided to be stupid.
In his first appearance I thought he looked immediately off pace. Not running forward in to space when he should be and just dawdling around. Gave it a pass but it’s pretty clear he’s lost and it’s very rare a player like this improves, especially in a team like this.

Feel bad for him. Don't United have scouts who can check his running speed or something? He looked really good and technical in Italy, but the tempo in England is just 4 gears above him.
I always feel reluctant to write players off in their first season, particularly coming into this United environment where the team is playing poorly with no tangible tactical system.
