He's 19 and he hands in a transfer request? What the hell is happening to these young footballers?
Yea, I doubt he'd play ahead of Jerry and Gahill. It's a sad and stupid move. He's young and will play every game he's fit for at Everton. Moving to a Chelsea team that Kouma barely gets a game in is just silly.

He'll get plenty of games. Especially if we spend £40m on him. It's a sad and stupid move. He's young and will play every game he's fit for at Everton. Moving to a Chelsea team that Kouma barely gets a game in is just silly.

Everton forum complete meltdown in a matter of minutes.

If he wants to go to Barca, Bayern, Real Madrid or even Man City it wouldn't bother me. But Chelsea? 'Koff
Lanky Judas.
He's 21.
If someone offered to quadruple my salary and allow me to move to a much better company, in a much better city, at 21 years old, I'm not thinking twice.
It#'s a no brainer really, especially if Mourinho wants him to be a regular straight away. He's 21.

Everton may deny his request.
On who though? Its quite late in the window that clubs would milk them knowing full well that they have the money...If Everton actually reinvested the money £40m+ would be a great deal for Stones.
Surely they'd be pretty negligent if they haven't been looking at players this whole time just in case Stones went?On who though? Its quite late in the window that clubs would milk them knowing full well that they have the money...

Will be interesting to see Evertons stance now considering that they've already said they won't sell even if he hands in a transfer request.
Football went ridiculous a long time ago, but this summer it's hit even more ridiculous heights. John Stones for what will probably be 35m? Sterling/De Bruyne 50m plus? The game is fecked.
Unsettle the player? Chelsea will have been talking to the players agent for weeks. Mourinho has little to do with it, despite this kind of God-like power people want to ascribe to him. A player wanting to live in London on massive money and play in the CL is perfectly understandable. And Everton will happily pocket the money despite all the sanctimony.

Yes..but there is nothing stopping those clubs from hiking their prices when they know that you are desperate..Its what Spurs and Pool tried to avoid by buying first and then selling( Although their signings were abysmal, but thats another story)Surely they'd be pretty negligent if they haven't been looking at players this whole time just in case Stones went?
Having had the stance that they are not selling , crumbling now will not go well with the fans..If they can get a decent defender in now that doesnt cost a fortune, they should...then spend most of the money after careful scouting..Dont do a "Spurs 7" of spending in haste...That's for the club to decide. You're right though, at this stage of the window with cash in their pocket clubs are not going to play nicely with them. They already have a couple of defenders lined up it would seem which would be the only issue they'd have to address should Stones leave, so they could put the rest of the money aside until next summer or see what happens in January.
He's 21. But when you're that young and a club like Chelsea comes calling, you learn/play with John Terry, and get to live in London, it is hard not to be tempted. He's 19 and he hands in a transfer request? What the hell is happening to these young footballers?
Yes the River plate one..but he needs to adapt to English and European football..I think if possible you should have told Stones that he can leave next season with your blessing, and with the Euros, he's price could probably even increase..The scary thing is that Martinez is no Moyes in buying defenders..and could get you another AlcarazWell this Mori bloke seems basically tied up and he was at our game on Sunday. So we'd need another one, possibly two if Stones leaves.
He's almost signed..but they lost the French defender too that added another body to the defense..I think they needed a defender even before they sold Stones..They've signed a lad from river plate, Havent they?
