I still find it hard to believe that out of ;
Strootman,
Herrera
Matic and
McCarthy that Moyes chose to spend £30m on Fellaini. What was he thinking ?
It's what happens when awful managers get the big jobs by pure fluke.....Too many Dinosaurs like Moyes in the PL are the reason why the English national team is a laughing stock...these managers can get great results parking the bus against decent teams but when they find themselves managing decent teams then they get found out very quickly

Nah none taken bud..

I class it as offensive and an insult.. It's used against us because of the Munich air disaster.

Liverpool/Leeds fans started it with a chant.. The U stands for "you". About Munich saying the team didn't come home and all that. The same with M.U.N.I.C.H. (Man utd never intended on coming home) When stated like that like it's offensive..
Yeah, let's take your word over TomClare. Someone who was a fan pre-munich.

Ye.. It can be taken two ways though so to avoid any arguments, just put "td" on it. On the official forums its autocorrected. Whopper ah yeh scouse slang.. Very good
The official forum is shite, though.

It's just such a silly thing to get bothered by, when it's a long standing abbreviation.

I really hope Man Utd sign this lad. Young, talented, and British. Ticks all the boxes.

For the right price, then yeah. I wouldn't want him if he's going to cost over £30m. Which is what Everton will ask for.

I know people say Kroos as an example. But that would be more expensive than Rakitic, Thiago and Strootman.

If this was a year ago then I would have said definitely, but now his prospective price would put me off. At least the amount I think Everton would want which might be around £30m. If we are paying that much I'd rather wait a couple of years after he's continued to develop and benefited from playing time he probably wouldn't get here. Can't imagine his price increasing that much if we did wait a year or so unless he manages to exceed all expectations.

I'd have him here. But only for 20m or less.

Still prefer Coleman though.

He'd be quality for the wing back role especially with Rafa always injured.
I think there was a realistic possibility of him joining us when Moyes was here. Still by far my favourite Irish player.

I think none of the Everton players would have been keen to join Moyes after working with Martinez to be honest.

I'd love Coleman at United but he signed an extension didnt he?

The next question is what were thinking ?

Fair enough if you think that, but it happens a lot in other countries too I mean John Barnes and Owen Hargreaves were not born or from England were they?

Yeah I wasn't suggesting it purely because it's Ireland or anything. Just that it's ridiculous players can just pick a national team when they get a chance rather than representing their actual nationality.

Didn't think so lad! Nah sure Diego Costa actually did already play for Brazil before opting for Spain which is quite unbelievable to say the least!

Cleverley plays more passes forward avg per game than this guy.

Wee fecker has had a stonking first half against the Arse and is bossing the MF, would love him at United, still can't believe so many turn their noses up at this thought!

He's brilliant but he doesn't have a fancy name and he plays for Everton, unfortunately.

Would love us to sign him. He's perfect for a Van Gaal team as well.

There can't be a player who covers more ground during a match than this lad.

Exactly mate! He would fill that massive hole in the mf, well at least he plays for the Irish ;)

Said it before but in terms of style he'd be perfect for what we need alongside Herrera.

Yeah, Diego Cartio would have been far more acceptable.

Between him and Stootman it's so frustrating that these players went for very little while we chased Fellaini and Fabregas.

I remember when someone compared him to Tiote on here. Those were the days

I'd take him and Coleman over Di Maria.

Coleman as well. A few more of those and we're laughing...

Yeah, Diego Cartio would have been far more acceptable.

All jokes aside, he really doesn't get the respect he deserves because he plays for Everton/Ireland. He's much better than he's given credit for.

If we're trying to move to a system where we play fast, combative, technical football then he would fit in seamlessly beside Herrera.
