Loved that. Great to see him back, fans fantastic, I'm sure that did him a power of good.

Hm? I suggested ETH had a strong preference for inverted wingers, that's why Pellistri is not playing much and Sancho was used centrally today.
"Doesn't fancy himself non-inverted wingers" and then you went on about it being the reason why Pellestri hasn't featured much. Did I misunderstand something ?

Great scenes as came on to replace Antony. Hope he can use that bit of game time to build his confidence and get back to playing as well as he is capable of.

I'll go one step further and say Antony or Garnacho on the right would be even better to try out and let Bruno rest. That front 4 would be lethal in any sort of counter scenario.
Um. Our counter attacks are lethal because of Bruno though.

None of those front 4 could pass the ball into the dangerous positions like Bruno in any sort of counter scenario.

I meant ETH has a strong preference for inverted wingers like Garnacho, Antony, Rashford. Maybe I used the wrong expression but I think it meant the same.

I mean they could and have, but I'm more speaking on all 4 being able to carry the ball as well. None of them are the artistic "killer ball" players that Bruno is, but with Sancho in that spot it would be more driving at the defense from deeper with the other 3 making runs. Just a different style

Can play as a ten? Perhaps but I think the value comes from a four of Rashford, Tony, Sancho, Anthony or Bruno rotating across the front line could really harm low block teams.

The fact that he kept Bruno at RW, who was terrific in that role I might add, and played him at the 10 could maybe be a sign of things to come...

He's got the tools to be a player centrally

Driving from deep in the central position was not something that he had in him. I hope he can develop it but I am not exactly positive about it. I am hoping that he can be very useful in inside forward position.

Bruno almost always plays on the RW on second halves which, at times, seemed to his performance I might add so far. Not that both can't get better in their new positions.

Was great to see you him back. Wonder if Ten Hag is thinking of using him as Bruno cover in the coming months seeing as we don't really have anyone there. Cover Bruno some games and play some games on the right.

He was probably a bit worried about how the fans would react- after all, he's been absent for a long time. It must have been such a relief to him to hear the loud cheers of the OT crowd.

He's always struck me as a good lad (unlike a lot of the young English stars) so it's great to see the reception he's gotten.

Was nervous, the surface wasnt good today, will take time to get up to speed but good to have him back. Hopefully can challenge both Antony and Bruno for a spot..

Grew into looking fairly sharp as his cameo went on. Looking forward to seeing more of him in a more settled side than the one he was last in.

Don't mind the experiment with him at 10 either. Might be able to give Bruno a rest for the first time since Corona was Mexican lager.

Liked to see him centrally. He could be tried as a Bruno backup that we very much need with VDB out for the season (not that he was going to play much).

If Bruno wasn't selfish and cut it back instead of blasting it, he could have had a easy goal there.

Quick feet.

Could be an apsolute revelation in energy and ads an element of suprise to our game.

Here's to hoping he's back.

You don't think Sancho can drive the ball from the central position? He's one of the best dribblers on the team of course he can.

Hearing that pop from the crowd and them singing Sancho Sancho Sancho was a thing of beauty.

The smile on his face and ETH patting him on the head saying "listen to that" was really wholesome. Great to see him back.

It was just a lovely moment. Damn… hay fever… at me.. need some tissues.

It was awesome. No doubt the truth will come out eventually about why he's been gone so long, but if it was why we 'suspect' then this will mean the absolute world to him no doubt.

I bet he was quite nervous about what kind of reception he'd get, but that would have been an amazing relief. Well done OT!

Devilish will have hated that reception from the crowd.

Fantastic from the home support.

United fans applauded Jose and Moyes. The match OT fans are very nice people
