That Rashford goal. To pick out Martial instead of VdB, what vision. I never saw that pass even on the tv till he actually played it.

Same reaction. When players can think of passes you would have never thought of despite you having an eagle's vision of the pitch, you know you've got a special player in terms of creativity.

He's going to be our best player of this season. The guy is so natural at playing the game.

Ole knew how to use him

Take, for instance, the sight of Sancho sitting wide-eyed in the dressing room after the Newcastle United game on September 11. Asked by a team-mate the reason for his apparent shock, Sancho is said to have replied that the pace of the game was something to behold. “Get used to it,” was the message back.

You can't make any firm conclusions off of preseason friendlies but Sancho is looking sharp.

He's going to be so good this season. Brilliant player, absolutely wasted last season but that was always going to happen when we had basically amateur level coaches in charge of United. Never doubted him for a second and I know he's going to be class.

It's pre-season. Let's wait and see

I didn't watch the game, but saw the goals. His pass to Martial for the 2nd goal was world class. Insane vision.

He's gonna cook this season. Looking forward to watching him play.

Included him in my FPL team. Reckon this will be a great season for him and will rack up decent numbers as well.

He is having very good preseason, he is looking comfortable as RW and LW. There is lot of movement around him, he is picking some nice passes.

Him and Martial makes game look so easy.

It's like he was only in 2nd gear last season, and now shifting up. Seen a few posters saying he will be our POTS and totally agree, if he shows this form in the season

Fair enough; but I always felt Ole's reluctance to use him was bordering on bizarre.

He spent two summers chasing him, and when he got his man, he hadn't a clue how to utilise him and restricted his minutes. It wasn't good management, especially given that the alternatives were playing some horrendous stuff.
I think the Ronaldo signing got in the way of him getting minutes early on. That signing really took the spotlight off him too. I'd say he was expecting to be the start signing and then in comes the Ronaldo show.

The best player on the pitch in all three matches so far. Our season may well depend on keeping him fit.

I reckon we've signed some serious quality with Eriksen. Sancho will really click with him Bruno, Fred and Donny too. He might be the best of the bunch but we've got a lot of quality options up top.

Martial is really showing how good his link up play is too. Good footballers love other good footballers. I hope I'm right and we're in for an entertaining season.

Come on United

How is that a good fight?

edit: He's been banned already, which returnee was he then?
Some people are weird and made their minds up on Sancho based on a season that had nothing to do with him (and ignored everything he did before which pointed to him being genuinely a generational talent and player).

I get that, but even when things were going tits up for Ole, he seemed reluctant to use him. It's just very peculiar.

I'd say he's looking Vodafone

Ha!

Sharp was a classic. Never really liked the Vodafone kits. Sancho's recent showings would have justified outings in either.

Couldn't watch the game, was he used primarily on the right again?
Him and Dalot are the set and forget right side. Occasionally he'll drift to the left with Rashford flipping to the right, but only temporarily.

Thanks.
Would be great if he made the RW his as we have several who can play on the left. Great stuff.

This is the Sancho we were expecting. On fire in pre season so far.

What?

We are lucky to have him. Can't wait to watch him this season.
I'm not sure luck factors in, we paid a fortune for him and fans have been very patient after an average season. It's him that needs to really step up now and show he's a proper player when the real stuff kicks off.

When things go south that's when managers tend to stick with what and who they trust the most and since Ole didn't trust him to begin with, he was never going to rely on him with his job on the line.

I think a lot of credits has to go to Dalot for helping unlock current Sancho. Players like him need players around him to link up with and open up options and Dalot has been that for Sancho on that right side. It was extremely hard for Sancho to execute anything playing with AWB because the latter was a black hole offensively and wasn't providing options for Sancho going forward.

And of course, most of the credits also has to go to Ten Hag for allowing us to attack in numbers thus creating more options for any of our forwards to link up with. We regularly had 5 bodies inside and around the box when attacking, loads of options for anyone on the ball to look at. Whereas before forward players would find themselves isolated and needing to do something spectacular to create anything or not get dispossessed.

Well that's why Ole's scatter-gun transfer approach made zero sense. He chased this guy for two years and barely gave him a proper chance.

crazy sentence
How?

The only thing that is crazy is perhaps that average is being complimentary to what he produced. It took him forever to get going and the output really wasn't there as an attacking player. There's plenty of mitigation but let's not hold that up as a good season for a United forward.

“fans have been very patient”

People are getting way to carried away with pre season, its slightly embarrassing.
