Soooooo we've gone from a mid july deadline to a take it or leave it offer in mid june?
This saga is just becoming a bit of a joke now. I'm pretty sure no one really knows whats happening and people are taking pot luck shots. I suppose it's just a case of throwing shite until something sticks?

I don't think that's what this is saying. This is just saying they have a price and we will have to match it to get him.

Same as last year but a lower price.

I don't think this was unexpected.

I've never been but I can guarantee you that there's no reason whatsoever to visit Dortmund. If you want to go to a game, fine, but stay in Cologne or even Düsseldorf

I don't have bad things to say about Dortmund or Düsseldorf but I second Hansi's recommendation to stay in Cologne. Wonderful city to hang out in, with delightful beer.

Why do people still believe these updates from any random source on set asking prices etc?

Seems a fair enough free tbh. Hope we meet it and get this done

£77M pounds would be looked back on as a bargain fee in a few years I'm certain.

For his age and quality, to get a fee that wouldn't even crack the top 10 most expensive ever would be shrewd.

That's less than what Juventus paid for a 30 year old Higuain a few years ago

Less than what we paid for Maguire too

Yeah it would certainly be a strange hill to die on if we choose to do so again.

I reckon we get it done for what Dortmund are asking. Will probably just take another few weeks

let's not forget our last 2 brilliant buys from Dormund. Both world class players taking the Bindesliga apart

Yeah it's a good fee. Chelsea paid that for Havertz.

The fee is so reasonable I will say I don't get how much can really be gained from the potential squabbling over a few million. It'll obviously get done eventually, that's obvious this time.

Steve Bruce played zero matches for England. Carrick played on 34, and Scholes quite Internation football due to the mess that was and is England.

That is your yardstick?
Steve Bruce was not good enough for International football, Carrick had more competition and Scholes retired because the idiot in charge could not fiy Scholes, Gerrard and Lampard together.
Best stay clear of Haaland then too?
Haaland hasn't proved anything yet at the highest level.

Huge difference to be fair. Kagawa and Mkhi had never played in England while Sancho was born in England and has had a mini career at City. Kagawa (minus his first season) and Mkhi were also around at the same time as Mata and that was during the period of us not knowing what to do with AM yet kept signing them. Sancho on the other hand is a winger and we badly need a RW. In fact we've never had a good one since Valencia the winger, not the RB.

Simply put we didnt really need Kagawa and Mkhi but they were too good to pass up. In the case of Sancho we've been desperate for a quality winger

So stay away from buying him then?
i believe we have higher priorities. to pay so much for a center forward. We need a more mobile center half to compliment Maguire. We need a dynamic central midfielder ( a combination od Fred and Mac, Garner but he needs more time) and a good back up for AWB ( Maybe Trippier or bring Laird Back)

I really believe if you are good enough where you play is irrelevant. It may take time to climatise but talent comes through. Neither were good enough and we have seen that since they left United. Mkhi couldn't even make ot at Arsenal

Not in the same way Sancho is and not from 18 years old!!

Sancho done it 3 years in the trot. Mhki and kagawa had some decent seasons and 1 brilliant one.

Are people saying haaland and Sancho are overrated? Haaland is world class already and I feel like Sancho is borderline. If he can carry over close to those numbers and the standard of play in the CL we are laughing. I think he’s going to get better and better.

I don't quite know what point you're trying to make.

That Dortmund are nothing special? I agree.
I believe he finds Dortmund and their players overrated, and as a result, Sancho's a risky purchase for the price that's being bandied about.

and that we are prepared to pay 90m+ for an attacker when we have other priorities.
Even without a right winger how many teams scored more goals than us lat season and how many conceded more than us?

I'm actually willing to bet that Sancho will have more than the 20 goals+assists from his recent BuLi season in next season's PL, and even in per 90 minutes measure.
