Hilarious to see Utd fans lose their shit over this, again, over the last few pages.

Why the hysterics all of a sudden? It's almost done. Just a little bit more.
How dare Dortmund set the price for their own player!

It's all a bit strange, Last summer the BDL were the more manic I think, and yet this summer when the deal is actually happening, its Utd fans losing their shit more!

Not really the point I was making. More that Berger was making it sound like we’d put in some derisory offer.
Might be adding his own extra to sound original. But could have some truth as the fear most clubs have now with selling modern day wingers at a relatively young age is that they could go on to become 20+ 30+ or even 40+ plus goals a season players for 5-7 years once they hit 24/25… imagine how pissed Roma are for selling Salah for only €39m.. at a younger age Sancho’s stats are better then Salah when he was the same age.

I mean Sancho is practically already there cause he gets much more assists than those wingers who score a lot of goals

Hes pretending to. Literally didnt know of the breaking news yesterday for feck sake

I'm not contesting or debating this, nor do I care. He presented the information as representative of how Dortmund feels about the situation, so it's weird people here would say "is this guy some sort of noob?" as if it was his personal opinion, which is what I replied to. People should just take the information from the tweets and sources they care about, rather than having these weird meta comments and attacks on the journalists. It's weirdo behaviour

German fans! Is Dortmund a nice city? Id like to get over for a Dotmund - Munich game, the atmosphere looks super. Munich was great. Berlin too but their team is crap

I went over a with some friends the season before the pandemic hit and the atmosphere was as billed, fantastic. In terms of the city itself it was hard to tell fully as it was a Sunday game so not much was open but there was nothing to suggest it’d be much better other times. Think if I were to do it again I’d stay in one the neighbouring cities which are a bit more tourist friendly in terms of things to do and then travel in for the match.

I've never been but I can guarantee you that there's no reason whatsoever to visit Dortmund. If you want to go to a game, fine, but stay in Cologne or even Düsseldorf

After following this saga for a couple years now, the place I’d want to visit ist Bad Ragaz, not Dortmund.

Thank you. I hear great things about Cologne :)
Probably from Cologne people. They are very convinced of their city's greatness.
It's ok, nothing too special, but for a visit I guess it's nice.

Neither does Dortmund. They sell their best players because they can't match the wages of bigger clubs not because it's their business model.

No it’s because they are a selling club.

But that's not how market works. If Bayern says "Coman is worth €100m for us and he won't go below that", that is their decision. And if every club values their players so high currently and nobody moves this summer, that's the buyers' problem. If Dortmund is happy to miss out on €87m this summer for Sancho, than his price in the market is >€87m.
No, that literally is not how a market works. What you're describing is a position, a statement. Not a market price.

If Bayern decide Kinglsey Coman - a player who clearly wants out and doesn't feature that often for them - is 'worth' 100m that is not the market acting. That is the seller acting. No one will pay that price, so it's not a market price.

The market price is the one that is paid. Not the posturing on either side. Kinglsey Coman's price is not 100m. Because no one will pay that. It's like trying to sell a can of soda for $200. You can say you want $200 for it, but if no one is stupid enough to pay that, it's not a market price.

Similarly, if BVB want to get 95m or 120m of 400m for Sancho that's the German club's perogative. But his market price will be what he is sold for. And if he's not sold, than he doesn't have a market price, because BVB priced him out of the market.

Very unfriendly, stay in Cologne or Dusseldorf. Hardly anything to do, very little in the way of bars etc. The tour is good though and the German football museum is there which is worth a trip.

Thats not what people are saying. People are saying he's pretending to represent how Dortmund are feeling

 Wait people are pissed at Dortmund because they wont buldge and have fixed price for their player, dunno whats the issue, from their PoV, this is the price, pay it or feck off, kinda simple and clean.
Welcome to the summer of 2020. Nothing seems to have changed for some people as the rhetoric is verbatim.

Spending millions on an 18 year old one summer (Amad) and then perusing a 21 year old in the next summer (Sancho) when you have a 19 year old already playing in their position (Greenwood) seems like terrible planning to me.

FYI never once did i say Amad was a bad player.
This is the kind of thinking which is made people on here not want Halaand.

Seems a fair enough free tbh. Hope we meet it and get this done

Everyday these nonsensical neverending random updates. It's just for clicks, there's no substance behind it.
We know that Sancho has the agreement that he can be sold, we know roughly the price Dortmund want, we know that they're negotiating the modalities but will probably not significantly lower the price further, we know they have said they want it done before mid July. And we know that United are close and working to get it done.

Beyond that, there's no ultimatum. And it also doen't matter how many bids there have been and how high exactly. It's just noise.

Soooooo we've gone from a mid july deadline to a take it or leave it offer in mid june?
This saga is just becoming a bit of a joke now. I'm pretty sure no one really knows whats happening and people are taking pot luck shots. I suppose it's just a case of throwing shite until something sticks?

We've not got Sancho yet...if United/Glazers refuse to pay the extra 10 million then I'd be scratching my head why the club spent millions on Amad.

Great planning is for example...Cavani with Greenwood as his understudy is great and I love that!

Sancho (21) with Amad (18) as his understudy is a bit more tricky, especially IF it costs another 90 million on top of the 20-30 million spent last summer.

You can't see any logic in where I'm coming from?

Great if the transfer budget is limitless! and the current team is functioning, but we all know that both of those are not true. I can't see the Glazers giving funds to fix the CB and MF on top of the transfer for Sancho. It comes down to what you want more, another young talent untested in the Prem for 100 million or spend big on other areas and maybe buy an older experience player that can share the game time with Amad for 18 months on the RW.

Both players are super talented, I'm not arguing that. I'm just annoyed the club seems to be getting the run around in the market again.
Don't you think a better to way to look at it is the potential for the wings to be covered for the next 5-10 years, if not more, if they are both delivering at the level their talent suggests they should? You also seem to be transfixed on Sancho being a RW when he is an eclectic forward who can cover or switch between three positions, which is an invaluable quality to have. Sancho can play, or stand in for another two positions whilst Amad plays; it's not necessarily a case of one of obstructing the other. Sancho's tank is also not the greatest, so 70 minutes into hard games, it would not be a surprise to see him subbed off, and what a leap in quality it would be to have an Amad come on to further torment the opposition?

We have lacked an outstanding bench in an era where the strongest clubs have a conveyor belt of like-for-like talent and it's long overdue for us to be able to roll out interchangeable quality, not just up top, but across the pitch.

Rashford has been played into the ground and he is young and very much in need of better handling, and in particular, the time to recuperate and come back fully fit. Having Sancho and Amad at the club keeps others fresh. We are actually desperate in need of this kind of bolstering and the pay off should make itself known in the latter stages of a season - a point where, typically, we have a number of players flagging and a manager reluctant to ever take them off or rotate.

On top of all that, having a big signing come in affords Amad to develop in peace as scrutiny and the spotlight are placed elsewhere whilst he gets his minutes in and irons out his game ready to challenge for a starting spot the season after.

The short version of the above is Sancho coming in aids the entire front line and attacking midfield, not takes away from it.

Let’s be honest, we’re not ‘leaving it’ for the sake of 2m and neither are they risking it for the sake of 2m. This is done
