BVB subreddit deluding themselves into believing that southgates team selections could make him rethink a PL move.

That makes no sense at all.. it's not like he can try out for the German national team if he stays in Bundesliga

 We could also get transfer rumours out that we’re going big on Ndidi and instead go for whoever Leicester choose as his replacement.
They already did sign Soumare from Lille

Dortmund are considering a serious bid already put in by United.
I choose to believe the latter.
He's talking about Dortmund giving a serious consideration for a bid that has already been put in by Utd.
That's a good thing if the bid didn't meet any threshold they'd have rejected it immediately
I dunno about that, it's hard to imagine a scenario where Woody already put a bid and its in Dortmund's hands now. If you think of Woody counting the money one by one by hand because he's "preparing" a bid however, it would make much more sense. Classic United transfer strategy. Once we're done the next step is to fax them our intent.

If anything, this England snub would make him want to push for the move. He had brilliant 3 seasons and he isn't even a starter. Foden had 1 good season and he is a starter, same with Mount.

huh? Ruhr Nachrichten are reporting BVB is "examining" an offer by MUFC?

what do you think they are examining? Am I missing obvious sarcasm?

The news is literally coming from Germany including BVB's mouthpiece they have next to no intel on an English team "preparing a bid" otherwise it would the English Press reporting it it's not rocket science to be able to tell what's going on

This won’t get done before the new shirt is officially released. They will want to bluff united fans by making Uniteds main transfer from last year into this years marquee signing. This is last years signing we didn’t get, last years money we didn’t spend.

DVB was last years money, the world was caught in a global pandemic, in case you missed it, there wasn't the mega money for a massive deal, hence why we didn't pay the reported 120 million they wanted.

Yet we would supposedly have paid 80-90m in the pandemic? So were we bullshitted completely last year???

I trusted Southgate decision with the reason maybe he is not good enough.

But after the Scotland match , he cant play worse then Kane , Sterling , Rashford. That's impossible
This is such a hilarious thing to say

As if only NT coaches were allowed to watch Bundesliga matches on TV

The irony that there is a £10mil difference between Utd and Dortmund and thats the exact amount the glazers are taking as dividends out of the club this summer for themselves.

1. That tweet makes no sense in the context of RN's latest report.
2. So the club mouthpiece is weeks behind on the story and STILL misreporting the situation?

I'll take RN over any other german outlet.

My take on it as well.

You do realise you don't have to pay for something simply because you can afford it? Financing is not the problem here, negotiation and pricing is.

It sounds like we put a offer on the table last week through intermediaries and Dortmund dismissed it because they hoped he was going to light up the Euros and spark a bidding war or that United would follow it up with a second offer.

United have stood firm and Sancho is getting nowhere near the pitch so Dortmund have now asked to look at the offer again and briefed that they’ve received the first bid.

My guess is that Dortmund will now come back with a counter offer that they would be willing to accept and we will probably end up meeting in the middle.

That angle is easily bought by the silly plebs on twitter though.

How often in the recent past have woodward and judge ended up paying the exact price the selling club wanted? Pretty much all the time. We cant negotiate out of a brown paper bag.

So you are saying that someone slipped Southgate a brown envelope to ensure that the price wont go up.

Interesting.

ESPN reporting that Utd are finding other clubs are jacking up their prices as a few english clubs have funds to make moves in this market. Also there is so little financial liquidity across europe. ESPN were saying to expect Utd transfers towards the end of the window when clubs will get more desperate to get money on the books to sort out their own squads and will reduce prices.

I think that’s spot on.

Come on Dortmund, he is not even good enough to start for England, just give us abit of discount and call it a deal at around 85m euros plus 5m add ons. Everyone's happy.

Then you are simply misinformed about the sports press hierachy in regards to Borussia Dortmund. Ruhr Nachrichten have not been a premium source for a couple of years now. That paper did not have an exclusive in more than half a decade. They are local, they write a lot about Borussia Dortmund but are nowhere close as well connected as they used to be, because the really well connected reporter either actually work for the club now (head of communication Fligge) or transfered to the competition (Dersch from the "Kicker").

There is nothing ground breaking in this article. The figure is the same and the date they want it done is also not new. Dortmund obviously wants to have the possible replacement on board for the pre season camp in Bad Ragaz (starting July 23rd), but I actually think that this is the date when they want it done at the latest and not the first half of July. This would be more consistent with similar cases in the past and has also been reported by the "Kicker" a few weeks ago, who are an objectively more reliable source.

As for the "movement" part, this highly unsurprising as they are obviously ongoing negotiations right now with both sides gauging the limits right now. This transfer remains highly likely, but has not gotten more likely just because Ruhr Nachrichten repeats (as they have done all the time in the past years) already known informations.

Makes a lot of sense. This is a very different market now compared to years gone by.

Please once ever this deal is done let's make "You Love to see it" trend if possible on all social media platforms just to feck Black & Yellow off, but then the inner Muppet in me keep reminding we've got to not piss them to shit so we can have a good enough relationship so we could nab Haaland and Jude... My trousers are on my ankles

Players performances do matter and prices fluctuate accordingly is simply my simple take from the post.

@Pexbo ?
Exactly. You can’t blame Dortmund for hoping that Sancho lights up on the international stage because it would have put pressure on United to match their asking price.

They’ve had a good offer on the table for over a week now and it’s clear his stock isn’t getting any higher this summer and it’s clear that Sancho wants to come to United. So if anything Dortmund’s position is getting weaker rather than stronger so it makes perfect sense that they now might want to bank the big fat cheque that’s sitting on their desk.

It will not make a single € of difference. BVB really, really, won't lower their asking price or change their negotiation strategy depending on Sancho's minutes for the English NT
I mean I understand we need to keep our minds and our imagination occupied but it's not a real thing.

well you're right, that is definitely news to me, if you're being accurate. I don't think i've seen RN being questioned as the definitive BVB source in any window. I know kicker do rate highly, but i've always seen RN higher rated than kicker for BVB.

Not at all what he said, he is saying that United stood firm in negotiations and since Sancho hasn’t been playing in the Euros, that may pay off.

How the deal is structured is still open to negotiation. They make it very clear that they’re not going to negotiate the price and will do all they can to own the narrative in the press once the deal is done but the terms will be more favourable than the original demands.

Supports: big days  just seen this. Class.

That might be but it will have nothing to do with Sancho's Euros minutes.
Differently put, you better hope Utd's negotiators are not stupid enough to try to use Sancho's lack of playing time as leverage.
