yeah he does come off as as arrogant especially after that question from the ITV interviewer at he end of the Croatia game. She asked him if he felt he had justified his place in the starting eleven and he looked at here like she was mocking him for even asking it. He really does think a lot of himself.

Are you having a laugh? That was an astonishingly poor question, he had every right to just walk out. I think Sterling has been crap, but bizarre thing to have a go at.

Why though? Why should he assume or feel like he's nailed on to start with the quality England has on the bench?

I trusted Southgate decision with the reason maybe he is not good enough.

But after the Scotland match , he cant play worse then Kane , Sterling , Rashford. That's impossible
Not sure why you ever thought just because Southgate is England manager he would know best.

Sancho would start for almost every team in the competition I think apart from France and do serious damage. Germany would love him as they’ve seen how good he’s been in the Bundesliga. His use by Southgate is baffling and I have to think that playing in Bundesliga has partly led to this. Luckily for us, this might help push through the transfer. A good season for United and lo and behold I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s right in the England team for the next World Cup.

Sancho is a better player than Griezmann so given time to settle with the team he should start ahead of Griezmann too (hypothetically).

I don’t agree with that, I think Griezmann hasn’t really fit into Barcelona but shows for France he’s still a great player. But give it a year or two and Sancho would also be starting for France as well, I agree.

Meh, Griezmann hasn't been at his past level since 2017-18, he's declined quite a bit since then. He's an established head from that French side, but I think he'd be pretty easily replaceable at this point with Pogba, Benzema and Mbappe being the main parts now.

I can't stand Sterling. Feels like a type of player who has fluked a career using pace. Also comes across like an arrogant prick.

Fluking an entire career? That would be pretty impressive.

Sterling has much more than just pace. His movement for one is superb.

No he doesn't have much more at all.
He has pace and good movement, which makes him better than walcott.
His finishing is shit. His touch is average. His vision is average. He's decent 1 on 1. His crossing and passing isn't great.

His touch, dribbling and link up play are all good. Moreover his movement is exceptional which is why he's produced the goods in the final third despite not being a natural finisher.

Clearly you're basing your opinion off this season and missed out on the times when he's been key to City's PL title runs. Someone who has been able to do that is obviously an excellent footballer. Surely we should value players who are key to title wins given we've been yearning for that for 8 years now.

I really don't think that's true and I'd be surprised if a lot of people share your opinion.
Griezmann has declined since 2017/18 by quite a lot. You'll find that the opposite is true by now. Sancho has more goals over the last 2 years playing as a creative winger compared to Griezmann playing as a striker pretty much, and far more assists as well of course. Sancho way ahead in underlying stats too these days.

In the league, Griezmann has 22 goals and 11 assists in the last 2 seasons. Sancho has 25 goals and 27 assists. Sancho far ahead in whoscoreds average ratings. In the CL, they both have just 4 goals in the 2 seasons, while Sancho also adds 5 assists to Griezmanns 0 with again a far better whoscored rating. Sancho creates more chances every game. Pretty much every metric in the last 2 years, Sancho beats Griezmann. In fact Sancho beats most attacking players in the world for a lot if attacking metrics. He's been one of the top 5 best wingers in the world over the past few seasons, both in performance and his productivity. And is only 21.

Sancho is a better player than Griezmann now, because the latter fecked himself up by this Barca move. In his peak though, Griezmann was definitely the superior player.

Yeah, very different players anyway, Griezmann at his peak was a second striker with brilliant movement and finishing, while Sancho has always played deeper as a creator who pops up with a good amount of goals but is generally more of a world class dribbler and really creative passer (and very good movement too).

Sancho could be really good player, but lets not compare stats directly from BL to other top league such as LL or PL, it just isn't the same.
One example is, Werner and Havertz, last season in BL vs this in PL, its miles apart.

I’m sensing that today might be a bigger day than yesterday

Yeah but Griezmann has been poor for Barcelona. Doing exceptionally well in the Bundesliga counts for much more than being a lame duck for Barcelona.

Having said that Griezmann seems to always do pretty well for his NT.

Didn't Dortmund wanted €90m + €5m?
Alot of speculation at the moment. But around €90m seems the figure they'd like if reports are to be believed. Ruhr Nachrichten are also saying that the official bid is being examined by Dortmund, which if true, can only be a good thing.

I think the bigger point is not the actual story, it's that Ruhr Nachrichten has pulled a 180 and now confirming the UK story. After the UK briefings these guys came out and said BVB had not heard from MUFC and there was no offer. Now it's "confirmed offer". Considering Ruhr Nachrichten is essentially the direct pipeline for BVB briefings, something has progressed beyond the initial story to prompted this report.

However they still saying price is non negotiable. It's still gonna take a while.

I’ve joked after each England match that his price has been coming down by 10m each time. Obviously that’s nonsense but I think Dortmund will be very disappointed that he’s not playing and that he’s not having an absolute stormer.

They clearly want to sell him this summer despite the BDL’s constant chiming of “Dortmund would love it if he stayed for another season!”. So if he’s not going to be in the shop window but he’s still with the England setup at risk of injury, why would Dortmund not think it’s time to get the ball rolling on this if there’s a substantial offer on the table?

could be, but why deny BBC reporting and then just confirm it later? There's no reason to confirm it now unless you've been given a reason to. Do I think it's a done deal today? No. But i think this could mean we've made a better offer that's being discussed and not rejected. Do i think this is just Ruhr Nachrichten being late to the party? No, it's more than that....IMO.

I hope we get some UK reports today.

Oh yes, I agree with what you're saying.
