Ivan Perisic will make a lot of people here take back their words. He will be a hit under Jose.
some people are going to eat their own words if he signs. I'm convinced he would be a big hit here. he hasn't even sign for us yet and he's already a cult player on caf, especially after all this mess with Griezmann

Of course he has. Just like every other manager - dead or alive. But he is undoubtedly one of the most successful when it comes to buying the type of players that help him build winning teams. He's got it more right than wrong.

He's an average player, spin it all you want. For lesser, we can get better wingers like Bruma & Gelson, I'll even have Douglas Costa and Moura over him and I don't rate those too very high.

Another factor here is Pogba. If we play a defensive LB plus Perisic, the defensive responsibility on Pogba is slightly less. This will help him play more attacking, even in a 4-2-3-1.
Overall, a good tactical signing. It will be interesting now to see which type of forward we go for. My guess would be (predictably) target-man.

People have a right to express their concerns and Jose is not infallible. Not at all. But he's one of the best at building winning teams. Some folks here sound like he must be dumb or something considering the way they describe Perisic. If Perisic is as bad as they describe, then Jose must be absolutely pathetic in scouting players.

I can sympathise that people feel butthurt that we didn't buy that shiny toy they expected. However Perisic is nowhere similar to Park or Kuyt
