Yes but a large part of that tendency to charge us more comes from our tendency to throw money around. Continuing to overpay more and more will just see us being forced to overpay more and more. Which is fine when we're signing excellent players but you might hope we'd be able to pick up the lesser lights for relative value, even if it's only relative to our own spending.

thats not the point we are making, the point is a player at this age who has done nothing of note shouldnt cost this much. Yes he might come to united and be amazing BUT the point is he currently is highly average, old and in a bad team. He should be a 20million buy at best

Perisic is not better than Martial, Mourinho just can't get the best out of Martial. Like he can't get the best out of any attacking player that rely's on technique rather than brute force.
