They are nothing like him though.
I really hope that Inter don't sell him. We already have a better player than him in the bench, and both Martial and Rashford will suffer in minutes if we sign him. Give chances to Martial and allow him to play with freedom and we will fly.
Stop being so knee-jerk. One game doesn't define a season. We seen last season so many fluffed up chances from players like Rashford and Martial. We still need another attacker, someone who can provide a different option. If Perisic is available, we should get him.
But he plays in the position both are most likely to get minutes in, which is the point he's making.

They didn't last season. We haven't improved our attacking options. Lukaku was a straight swap for Zlatan (who granted will probably score more goals) but we still need a winger (right or left sided).
Rashford, Martial, Mata, Mkhitaryan, Lingard isn't enough quality to go into 50-60 games this season. And none of those players are similar to Perisic.
We need a proper LB more imo.

Especially as we only have 1 striker. Both Rashford and Martial will be required to play as a striker at times this season.
Saying we don't need him now isn't really accurate. Perisic would give us another dimension and Rashford is equally good on the right.

Feel that someone like Perisic would have been a good alternative to Mata. We need more pace and crossing from the wings. Someone who can beat a man consistently.
Given Mourinho's judgement on transfers so far, if he wants Perisic, then we should support him in his wishes.
I agree with the sentiment, but I think both Rashford and Martial are better on the left. We need an out-and-out winger on the right, and a left back. That would complete our squad, and also maximise Rash and Martial's chances of realising their potential.

Really agree with this. Never understood why we haven't looked to strengthening at LB. Our options there are terrible. None of Rojo, Blind or Darmian are natural or the quality of LB we should be looking for. Shaw is unproven and not his fault, but unreliabe due to injuries and can't even get on the pitch in the first place.
Perisc goes at least some part of solving both as he can play LWB in a 352, or hug the touch line in a 433/4231.

True enough, but my point still stands. Having a left back who overlaps, maintains the width and puts the cross in like Tony V does would transform this side. Imagine how much Martial and Rashford would thrive out on the left with the fullback making runs and creating space for them.

I still want him too, but for the right side. I'm happy with Martial and Rashford fighting it out of the left but the right wing berth is wide open. Even though the Mata/Mkhitaryan combo worked well today.
