Wow, didn't realise he'd even realise he'd moved.

Who exactly is top draw on the left wing that's available?
Not really, they've identified Perisic for whatever reason. If you think we should sign somebody better, who?.That's Eds job isn't it? Did you think Rom was coming to us or Chelsea?
Cuadrado was signed for backup not for first choice.

Neymar is going to PSG for insane money that we can't match, I don't think there's any left winger available right now who's CLEARLY better than Perisic.
What Jose wants is a hard working winger who can carry the ball well at speed and provide width, but also help out defensively well.
He fits all those attributes. Yes we'd all prefer a Bale etc but it's just not feasible.
Well considering he's on 600k a week and been injured regularly the last 2 seasons, I would say it isn't a wise investment. The fact Madrid are even contemplating letting him go shows to me they think his best is over.Bale is a good place to start and thank you Adam for letting me know who's feasible or not. When you met with Jose and Ed, did they say why he wasn't?
Looks like this is dead now. No news on him since he went to preseason tour and then on the otherside Matic stories are picking up. Looks like it's Matic vs Perisic and we will sign only one.
Till 2 days back I was sure we will sign him but going by the latest news we might sign Matic.
No way we spend 50 mil on either of them. I know we have a hole in the middle of the park if/ when Pogba /Herrera are out but feck me sideways if Matic is worth 50 mil. NO feckING WAY!

I love how this sentence makes sense this way, too. As if the lad is a little dim, like he'd be taken to Paris without noticing it's not Lisbon.
Not really, they even sent Saleh the other way
The first choice was Hazard and Willian mate. Why is it so hard for you to accept that both Salah and Cuadrado were signed for Hazard and Willian backup while Jose wants Perisic as his first choice winger?
You claiming it doesnt make it true
Why don't you just check Jose's most pick wingers in his XI when he was in Chelsea from 2013-2015. Everyone already know that he likes Willian in Chelsea and Hazard was his main man as well.
Get in!We'll buy him on deadline day.
Get in!
If that is what mourinho had wanted, it should also be what he gets. What if Mourinho wanted Crouch and we were quoted £60mill for him, maybe we should throw in Rashford as a part of it since it's a player that the manager obviously wants.
Get out! With Martial going the other way on loan.
I agree with every word. There's nothing particularly interesting or likeable about this player and £50M does not sit right. So uninspired by this transfer, really hope it turns out to be a smokescreen.
Surely the most boring, grueling transfer 'saga' of recent times?
Like turning up thinking you're gonna watch a high-octane, glossy action movie and then your mate pulls out Ben Hur 'The Director's Cut' and offers you a warm, slightly melted Worther's Original...
If that is what mourinho had wanted, it should also be what he gets.
It's the only way. How do you think it ends when you have a a situation where the suits are vetoing the manager's choices because they aren't sexy enough? That's certainly one way of looking at it
On the other hand, there's Andy Carroll for 35m.It's the only way. How do you think it ends when you have a a situation where the suits are vetoing the manager's choices because they aren't sexy enough?

Where else are you going with your contrived crouch example?Who said anything about veto ?

We are making such hard work of signing players, Perisic wants to play for us, no one else is reported to be interested him, we must have our own valuation on him, if Inter don't accept then look elsewhere, who else is on Jose's multiple player list ?
Cuadrado was only at Chelsea between january and august.
I think the problem is that the Glazers do not want to spend big money this Summer, unless it is for a Galactico class player who can be marketed in such a way that we can make the money back, using his name.
Players who have a "lesser" name, just aren't worth it for the Glazers to spend money on. Basically, despite being the richest club in the World, we don't want to spend....similar to the way Arsenal have behaved in the last few years.

Lemar's great but he seems like a nominal winger to me, an intelligent number 10 who's evolved to play left with a marauding fullback but doesn't think like a winger and provide width.Thomas Lemar fits the bill perfectlyplus he's left footed which we don't have enough of. He's younger, already better than Perisic as he proved his worth in the CL. I'd understand splashing money for a player like that, a player who'd have potential to improve.
Perisic isn't likely to get better and he is already average..

We're guessing that's what Mou wants to explain his interest in Perisic, and to be honest none of our players who play out wide are particularly good at setting up their fullbacks so things get congested often. Why are we suddenly obsessed with wingers providing width? That is what FBs are for now.
OK get Sanchez then.I think the problem is that the Glazers do not want to spend big money this Summer, unless it is for a Galactico class player who can be marketed in such a way that we can make the money back, using his name.
