I may be blond and blue eyed [/B]but didn't Inter pretty much confirm it? So If the club wasn't interested I'm sure they'd deny interest. That or Ed is playing along and he's indeed a smokescreen.

I don't know, Katie. I may be tall, dark and handsome but can we trust anything those Inter chaps say anymore?

I honestly think Inter are not bluffing, they really don't want to sell the player. It might prove costly for them anyway it goes. Not getting the substitutes on time, maintaining a disappointed player.

Thought they had already signed a replacement?

I don't think they finished that deal too. All Italian media were saying, by the way, they need two players to substitute Perišić. Because he's so bad, you know.

Because every game last year we were desperately crying out for proper width to open teams up maybe? and not have Mhiki, Mata, Martial and co. all wanting to come inside, and not wanting to see us channeling everything through a congested middle of the pitch for yet another season?

So an he'd give us options on both flanks for actual width you'd imagine? along with an engine up & down down the left flank that Martial didn't provide and Mourinho criticized him for?

The sum of its parts approach to building an actual effective team? but no, the CAF in all its wisdom wants instead; random muppet signings, more inside fecking forwards, James Rodriguez, a slow no.10 by trade and i've even read an opinion of putting Pereira there ffs.

If we had a LB that could offer proper attacking width like Valencia on the right it wouldn't be an issue, most top teams play with inside forwards off a lone #9 with the fullback providing the width, but we are ignoring this while we tread water with Shaw.

Morata part II?

It would be stupid to having him go all the way to China and missing our pre-season because of that. We're playing hardball, robbing a player from them, it's normal they don't want to be nice.

It's Delaney, so it's probably nonsense.

It makes you wonder why have this rule called transfers and this thing called a transfer window. I mean how many players have they robbed in this window?

Delaney is genuinely useless. He changes his tone after every bit of gossip

How would you like to see a United player forcing his transfer by being photographed sulking outside of the group, missing training sessions, etc.?

Hopefully it's Morata Pt II and we've been stringing them along to aid our negotiations with another club for a better winger.

Ya, but thats not how Mourinho had us attacking for the majority of last season, usually went something like keeping the LB often closer to the CB's, had Valencia pushed up for width on right and kept the LW closer to the touchline.

Posters want us to play with 2 attacking fullbacks and 2 inside forwards, but that doesn't seem like how Mourinho wants us to set up.

I'm one of those poster and I've also said that we'd need to move to a Chelsea-like 3-4-3 to compensate for the attacking fullbacks. To be fair he did sorta try it in the 2nd half against Galaxy.

If it was the same situation then i'd be angry but not going to hold it against him. Especially if we was in the Europa league and Barca/Madrid wanted him.

Ah, but he uses the word "genuinely" this time, meaning that this time he is telling the truth - in stark contrast to all the lies he has told in the past.

Robbing? Wtf is this?! Maybe if the club had actually done a better job and committed to bringing in more players their top players wouldn't want to leave. Frankly I'm amazed that Icardi hasn't been trying to force a move somewhere else.

Lol, maybe ban is too strong....how about "discourage"....? If we all went into a transfer thread with the view that the World has gone mad and anything above a couple of million for anyone, other than say a balon d'or top 10'er, is over the top we'd be able to talk to footy fans rather than trainee accountants. Just a thought mind...
Seems a bit arbitrary. Who says a couple of million is the right price? There was a time when a million for a footballer seemed as absurd as £75m does today. I'm sure in 10 years time £75m will seem fairly modest compared to the prices good footballers will transfer for, it could be £250m or more by then. At what point in time do we say the market value was fair?

And where do we go to discuss this madness if our favourite chatroom "discourages" talking about it? Do I then have to bore my wife with it? She discourages it too, and she dishes out worse than the odd thread ban when I displease her.

He's terrible. Last month he said we were on the verge of buying both Fabinho and Matic. Last week he jumped on the James bandwagon speculation saying we were on the verge of getting James even when any true fan knew we had absolutely no interest in him. Before that we had a great chance of Lewandowski and Mbappe. He genuinely gets his info from probably Castles and Di Marzio etc and then spins it a little to try to make out that he's not copying from anyone and actually has his own sources.

him going to China with the team makes me think that there's nothing imminent and that the reports of being close to an agreement are a bit premature. Maybe that's just me, but making him travel 5,500 miles to China only to then letting him travel another 7,500 miles to the US a day or so later seems a bit crazy and unnecessary.

There are mixed opinions on how Mourinho likes to use his fullbacks, Shaw reckons they are both encouraged to attack when the opportunity is there, the knack is attacking at the right time, reading the game, something he's still green at under a coach who demands so much defensive nous from his players.

Why is that? Until we get to the fee Inter want Perisic does as he's told.I reckon we are close but Inter are saying pay up or feck off.

This is all just baloney, unless Inter are continually moving the goal posts then there's just no way we'd be messing about over a few million at this stage if we were serious about him, which points more and more to us not been.

I must be missing something here this player is a good solid player not a top class player just move on there are more wingers out there.
