Bit mental how long this one has dragged on from when interest was first reported. I'm not overly familiar with him so I don't really have a strong opinion, but the fee initially quoted 38m seemed very pricey given the reviews and status of the player surprised it's not dead or done yet as he's not exactly a global superstar with a ton of clubs fighting it out for his signature.

I like Perisic but this is getting beyond a joke now. Martial didn't have a good season but he oozes potential.

What I mean by that, is that as soon as the chips were down, it'd be what everyone went back to, and I could imagine it becoming an almost comedy decision.
I'm a massive, massive José fan - but if that happened, I'd be so pissed off by it that I think it'd make my demands of Mourinho go up, like, 'ok, you fecking better get this team playing well right now then', and I reckon it'd have a similar effect for a lot of fans.
