*gets Sneijder shirt out of attic*What's next, Gaitan?
Mourinho scouted him constantly throughout the season - it was quite widely reported. He was even at a Croatia game during the season. He doesn't seem to be a back-up signing if he's set to be signed so early.
Genuinely feck off.
Miki has been underwhelming IMO. Cuadrado, Pedro, Salah and Schurle are some previous wingers signed by Jose who underwhelmed in his teams. I believe we need certainty if we want to win titles. Notice how the 2 times Chelsea won the title was when Hazard came out to play and tore the league up? Players like Perisic ain't gonna cut it I'm afraid. They are mere supporting cast.Don't know anything about this guy but I trust Jose in the transfer market. He's 4/4 so far.
Hope its 2+1 year deal or something. So we're not stuck with him after Mourinhos gone.
he's a workhorse, not a bad one, but nothing more. people attack our lack of creativity up front, he's one of the reasons for it. We also need someone who is a lot more consistent.
For the money, bearing in mind he'll register like a 35mil book profit for us, which could unlock Rodriguez, I'm in favour of it.
He is definitely a mourinho style player though. proper pandev.
Faaaack, even inter are keen
Only seen him a handful of times and never ever one that excited me. I'll have to defer to real experts on this one.
Certainly one from left-field and that's a big fee being touted all the same.
Darmian and Perisic on our left side of attackAlong with other jokes about taking Brozovic or Kondogbia in a buy 1 get 1 free deal. That's what inter fans are saying on their forums

Take it you've never seen him play for Croatia then? Hes played some good games at major tournaments too.
It wasn't widely reported. It came from 1 or 2 reports in France and was mentioned in passing in other articles. It was then hung onto like grim death by fanboys on here who really wished it were true.It was also quite widely reported that we were interested in Silva, but were apparently beaten to the signing. Don't really know what to believe tbh, don't see Perisic as the type of player he'd be settling for. He isn't an improvement on Martial or Mkhi.

Lingard on the right, Perisic on the left
I don't get all the hate. Jose's been delivering in at least 3 out of the last 4 transfer-dealings. This is obviously a player he wants if he gets him this early. And he's had great success with good squad-players in other clubs. Have some faith.
An average inconsistent winger will really help our poor goal tally.
Please let's just stick with Martial at LW.
£36m is far too much. Surely add another £20m to that and you get Sanchez.
Were people on here like this when we signed Bailly?
Or was the Caf okay with that on the basis they'd seen him play against Liverpool in the EL?
Mourinho's the manager.

Sounds like we're signing the Croatian Lingard.Along with other jokes about taking Brozovic or Kondogbia in a buy 1 get 1 free deal. That's what inter fans are saying on their forums
He won't.The Inter fan is spot on, a negative grafting winger, "proper Mourinho player" which is shorthand for this type of workhorse nothing player, at this point I'd just pray he's going to be used as a LB.
I like your sense of humour and hope because I like many on here have been left rather confused, and very very disappointed by this rumour. I wouldn't say we are in meltdown territory because there is more business to be done and a whole 3 months left of disappointments to follow. But the thought spending 1/4 of our budget on him In the Griezmann thread, there were some posters who were against the idea of Man Utd spending half our budget on a player that was ranked 3rd in the world and scored 100 goals in 4 seasons, in a non CF role. well SURPRISE mother feckers! At the end of the day, Allegri made Mandzukic look like a world beater and one of his most essential players. Here's hoping
