But why

We have literally a billion pounds, why buy someone who is worse than Rashford, Martial, Mkhitaryan and Mata?

Perisic has higher speed stats in Pro Evolution Soccer though. Now it is becoming confusing, I have no idea what to believe anymore.
It's funny how you're responding as if I claimed that the numbers was some kind of proof. I feel sorry for you if you fail to see that they were meant simply as an attempt to use an objective argument

At the end of the day, Allegri made Mandzukic look like a world beater and one of his most essential players. Here's hoping:cool:

Sky sources are just copying from Italian sources which are not very reliable.

Not on the front pages here.

Would be another squad player which isn't what we need, inter would be laughing if they get 36m, real value is half that.

Can't be our first choice and if it is true we must have missed out on other players.

The obvious one was Silva and the timing of us going for Perisic and Silva being off the market is suspicious. Someone fecked up and we went for plan B. There i said it

Felipe Anderson has been a lot better than him this season, and I can't say I'm keen on him signing for us either. The obvious one is Lemar.
Okay I'd definitely agree about Lemar but I would have thought that he'd cost a lot more and perhaps isn't one that they'll be looking to sell this summer.

It would be the only explanation for signing Perisic. I fail to believe he's a genuine first choice target for us.

£36M is a decent price IMO.

You are joking right? They paid £16m for him only last year. How can his value triple after one bang average season and he will be 29 next February. The whole thing looks like a desperate buy but it's so early in the transfer window to be panicking. There is just no value in the market anymore.

Mourinho has always been about creating a machine rather than a group of individuals. If Perisic is a pacy, direct, hard working, goal scoring wide man who Jose likes then I'm all for it.

At the very least it'll limit the amount of games that Rashford gets on the left wing.

I doubt that with Jorge Mendes being his agent and Mourinho going to Croatia in March. I don't think Bernardo was ever a serious target for Mourinho.

Guess we decided it wasn't fair that only the opponent's Left Full Back was getting crosses smashed into them. Balances the team's hitting the first man with a cross play style.

He's a decent player, no doubt, but he isn't good enough to improve us or one of those who takes us from 6th to 1st. He'd be a good signing for Everton, not for us. Which is why I think this is bollocks.

He's not a few of those things. City signing Silva for basically the same price is like your mate bagging a model and you settling for a toothless hokey after a few drinks clouds your judgement.

They are totally different and play different positions.

Perisic is an out and out winger,he wont drift in the middle he will stay in the wing.

I guess Utd need that type of player that will stretch the game by staying in the wing position.I have no idea about the quality of the player but Utd need a out and out winger.

I hate this signing but i do remember he did pretty well for in the Euros and thats maybe because he played in a better team than Inter who, lets face it, are as unstable as it gets.

Doesn't really seem like a signing that will improve the first team, merely another squad option.

Hope Ed hasn't got the scatter gun back out.

Bernardo Silva just went for £43 million and we're doing business like this. :wenger:

Earlier today I wrote this off as a joke, now it's turning into a bad dream? Perisic for 36m+bonuses, Bernardo Silva for £43m!? Really!?

I only vaguely remember seeing him in international tournaments so I'm just going by what I've seen posted on here, hence the 'if' in the sentence. How would you rate his style?
