Making a very reluctant player go all the way to China would seem ridiculous at this juncture. Really hope this is wrapped up ASAP now, as there's also always the risk that a player could pick up an injury.

Trouble is who is a top attacker we could sign for a low(ish) fee out there? If we sign an up and coming, we would piss off Rashford, and anyone else decent who is being bandied about would cost Lukaku money, and wouldnt really be any better than Lukaku. The better players are already at the best clubs and the clubs wouldnt sell anyway. Even if we did somehow get another top striker, Mou would still only play 1 up top most games.

Our problem since SAF retired has been a totally random approach to transfers resulting lots of square pegs in round holes. Perhaps signing players who will fit into the managers vision of system and the way he wants to play may be worth a shot, no?

Seriously, there's a reason you don't see many finishes on the end of those crosses. How many times can you see the striker run ahead of the defence and stop?
He'll be doing these moves and crosses thousands of times for Lukaku in the training he'll get used to it eventually.
There're aren't many finishes because Inter attack is crap, just like how all Pogba's chances created went in vain.
It's much better than having a predictable winger who crosses in exactly the same manner making it easier for the defender to defend against him.

Well imo the best cross is one that finds the striker who's timed his run into the box before it get's crowded with opposition defenders but maybe that's just me.
I'm sure him and Lukaku will develop a link between them over these crosses over time. I'm not worried.

Some people have gone a little overboard. He's not awful by any means. He's just a bit mediocre.
I don't think Lukaku will be that harsh to a new player in the team.
Oh course he won't, my example was for shits and giggles. But I do think he'd ask if he could maybe cross it on the first time he beats his man so he can make his runs accordingly

Well that doesn't change what I said that they'll learn how to develop a link together and how will Lukaku coordinates his moves to link with his crosses whatever he beats his man one or 2 times. Training sessions and manager are here for a reason.
