It's kinda sad to see people desperately hoping our manager misses out on one of his key signings.
It's not as aesthetically pleasing if that's what you're referring to, but I don't see why that would matterI'm looking forward to getting him as a player but there's something about his face I just don't like for some reason.
He looks a little like Robben who, for all his undoubted quality, is a bit of a cnut.I'm looking forward to getting him as a player but there's something about his face I just don't like for some reason.
I think that may be it! He also looks like a villain in Dick Tracy or something. He looks a little like Robben who, for all his undoubted quality, is a bit of a cnut.
I know. I hope people realise that if we miss out on Perisic our options on the left side revolve around Ashley Young and whatever 'option B' we have lined up.It's kinda sad to see people desperately hoping our manager misses out on one of his key signings.

On the subject of him and Lukaka forming a double act, is there any good evidence to suggest Lukaku is that good in the air at nodding in crosses? I'm not an expert on Lukaku. I'm hoping he's not one of these huge people like Fellaini or Crouch who actually isn't that good in the air.Unfortunately I played too much FM to be excited about this signing (old, overpriced, potential ability already reached, no re-sale profit)
Seriously speaking though I remember watching him play for Croatia and thought he was quite explosive. If this goes through I hope him and Lukaku could make a deadly duo.
Did he ever play wingback? People keep saying that he's perfect for a 3-5-2 but to my knowledge he played as a winger for basically his entire career.I could not be more happier if we get this guy for the 352 formation. Valencia and perisic as wingbacks; we would have one of the scariest flanks in the whole world.
Jose would forget about 3-5-2 after the first loss.I could not be more happier if we get this guy for the 352 formation. Valencia and perisic as wingbacks; we would have one of the scariest flanks in the whole world.
Martial?

I think this is going to happen - happy days.
You know what? I agree.I think some of you may have forgotten that United is not a selling club. We buy a player who will help bring success to the club winning competitions is how the club makes money and that has a flow on effect (sponsorships, tv deals etc etc etc). If Jose thinks this 28 year old brings that to the club i trust his judgement.
He is going to China with inter
Lukaku is not Miroslav Klose. Martial/Rashford and Miki/Mata would provide better ground service to Lukaku than Valencia and Perisic as wingbacks.Yep me too - this is the type of signing that Jose would have not just wanted but a player that would either make or break a transfer window.
There is absolutely no reason to get a striker like Lukaku with only one player in our whole squad who can cross the ball in valencia. It makes even less sense to me to play one at RB and another at LW or LM instead of playing both as wingbacks; giving them license to lean forward.
Can't really see why Perišić fits the bill for Mourinho's 4-3-3 better than 4-2-3-1, 3-5-2 or even 4-4-2. In fact, on could very well defend the contrary. Not surprised after watching the highlights of Perisic. He fits the bill for Mourinho's 4-3-3. In the mold of Damien duff/arjen robben back in the day.
Would make sense and he does look like a decent option on the wing. Im sure he works his bollocks off defensively too which is all important to Mourinho.
Not too bad compared to some of the prices being quoted
No chance he gets on that plane. He will lose his passport if he has too.He is going to China with inter

I don't always agree with how Jose handles his squad, but he wins more than he loses. If we'd finished more of our shots on goal we'd have finished higher in the league, and imo that isn't his fault.
If he wants a taller, more experienced and better passing Jesse Lingard I don't have a problem with it. The price is irrelevant until it hinders our purchasing of other players.
Come to United Ivan!!!!
Really? Where did you read that?
I hate posts like these, only serves to escalate the shitty climate where opinions are getting so polarized that it's not even meaningful to reply anymore.
We're all wrong about things, I've been sceptical of alot of our signings in recent years but I was over the bloody moon when we signed Memphis and Shaw for example. A little searching in your history and I can find posts of yours wanting Clyne, Coleman or basically anyone over Valencia at RB and that Darmian would be our first choice RB for five years ahead as long as he could stay healthy.

Hm? There was never any price higher than that being quoted, only lower. Inter have been asking for €50m (£44m) from the start. We're just paying full asking price. As per usual.
well said Sir. Do not forget "Bastian feeee*ing Schweinstaiger, when he joined everybody was over the moon as well, and not to mention DiFec*ing Maria too. That turn out well. I don't remember, but pretty sure Fellaini did not get this much stick. Or anyone else. I'm also sure if Ivan joins us, (fingers crossed) a lot of people here will eat their own words. Not only he will very quicky become fan favorite, but also very important player too.I hate posts like these, only serves to escalate the shitty climate where opinions are getting so polarized that it's not even meaningful to reply anymore.
