Woodward has dropped a bollocks on this one hasn't he!
Good news for Martial though

Time to move on.
Or we actually succumb to the 50m price tag they're requesting.I wonder what the alternatives were.

And Fabinho, Nainggolan and James . Honestly who knowsMatic, Perisic and Morata are all gonna be done in these coming 2 weeks, I reckon.
how?
No he hasn't! Refusing to pay £45m for an average 28 yard old winger is far from dropping a bollocks.
Look, when you're asked to sign someone and you play a risky tactic that backfires then you have dropped a bollock. It doesn't matter that you don't rate that player or think he's good value. It wouldn't matter if it was Messi or Carlton Cole. He messed up (assuming the reports are true anyway, who fecking knows)
But I'm failing to understand how Woodwood has dropped the ball on the persic transfer? Do you think we should have paid the price Inter was quoting?Because Martial won't have a rival signed in his position

I've never seen him play once. Haven't got a clue and don't really care. But I'm failing to understand how Woodwood has dropped the ball on the persic transfer? Do you think we should have paid the price Inter was quoting?

All I'm saying is that he was tasked to sign someone. He played a risky tactic by waiting and it's failed (again assuming reports are correct)
If he didn't drop the ball on Perisic in your estimation then he's dropped the ball on the left wing position and wasted time. He should have in that case nipped it in the bud and targeted another weeks ago.
That might depend on what happens to Coman. Is Douglas Costa still available?

You, or I, don't have the foggiest what is being done, or what has been said behind the scenes, yet you are so quick to lay the blame on Woodwood for not paying an asking fee for a player, which yet he still may do. You never know. How do we know jomo hasn't told him it is too expensive and to walk away? We don't.I've never seen him play once. Haven't got a clue and don't really care.

Does that 20m sponsorship which they are apparently announcing soon go towards this problem?Ok, let me try to explain inter's situation re:FFP
They don't need to raise €30M. They need to raise €30M in earnings.
All players have £ worth on the books, which is usually based on transfer fee/years of contract(there are other factors that might impact this, but i don't know how)
So for example, if Banega's worth on the books for this season is €5M, and they're selling him for €9M, that's €4M in earnings. That means they'd still need another €26M
Inter are about to sign Skriniar from sampdoria, with Caprari going the other way, and he'll be valued at €15M. That shoul generate around €12/13M in earnings, which would bring the total to €17/18M. So they'd still need another €12M.

I wasn't against this signing but I'd prefer United only bought players desperate/excited to play at Old Trafford.
Something tells me Perisic isn't to bothered if he stays or goes, in which case Jose should just stick with Martial.
United need the right players to match they system/manager, but just because you are rich shouldn't mean you splash stupid money on every transfer.
So Woodward should have paid the 50M Euros anyway? What do you think this is? FIFA Manager?

The reason we haven't got this guy is because we won't pay the fee quoted by Inter. What part of that do you not understand? You said Woodwood has dropped the ball for dicking around paying a risky game is basically saying he should have paid the fee. Jesus wept.Nope. I haven't once blamed Woodward for not paying the fee. Neither of you understand

They apparently signed a new €20m sponsorship though.
I am talking about top end teams. Robben is pretty containable. Throughout the year he can be marked out of games by competent teams. Hazard, Sanchez & Bale too. What set Ronaldo & Messi apart is they're just scarily deadly. They rarely have poor games. Even when they do, they can still be game decider. Seems like there is no way to stop them to pop up at key moment.I agree, but I struggle to see defences adapting to handle a player of his talent levels. Robben continues to torment defences at 33 and he is the tier below. Ronaldo and Messi are not the only ones to worry about. Hazard and Sanchez level players can quite comfortably keep the wing forward role alive. Bale too.

I didn't say he can't be unplayable, I said he can be marked out of the games. When Real Madrid won the CL under Ancelotti, Concentrao successfully kept him mild. Buttner did that too. (These example for the sake of easy to recall, not the only times this happened to Robben) And when that happened Robben had nothing else to offer. Ronaldo Messi as I stated in their bad game still can lurk in the shadow & decide the game in a play.I'd disagree as Robben has ran riot yes he may not be as good as Messi or Ronnie but he is was a sensational player.
@giorno cleary explained in his last paragraph. But then, how about the money they should pay for Skriniar?

Couldn't be farther from the truth. Milan ownership are praying the Chinese governement changes its stance on taking capitals out of China, otherwise in 18 months the club will be owned by Elliott, an american hedge fund company who have said they will re-sell immediatelyThere's alot going on that's beyond Perisic. Both AC Milan and Inter are now owned by Asian owners. AC Milan who were once owned by someone with brains sold to the rich Chinese who went on buying top talent like Kessie, Silva and Rodriguez. Moratti on the other hand, who crippled his family fortune but still needed to cripple Juventus before winning something sold to an opportunist who later on resold most of his shares to more opportunists. That means that while Milan are now buying the cool players their cousins are struggling to balance the books. In United terms it would be like Manchester City buying the Ronaldos, the Hazards and co while we're struggling to find enough money not to have to sell DDG instead. That hurts.
