Vox had an article last November about whether Israel was committing genocide, in which they interviewed a bunch of experts. They now have another article, in which they tried to interview many of the same experts a year later and see what they thought now.

Most of them now agree that it is a genocide.

The chief prosecutor of the international criminal court allegedly responded to a formal complaint of sexual misconduct by trying to persuade the alleged victim to deny the claims, the Guardian has been told.

Multiple ICC staff with knowledge of the allegations against Karim Khan said the prosecutor and another official close to him repeatedly urged the woman to disavow claims about his behaviour towards her.

The alleged attempts to deter the woman from formally pursuing the claims took place in phone calls and in person, and came after Khan learned court authorities had been made aware of allegations of misconduct, four sources said.

At the time, the chief prosecutor had been advised to avoid one-on-one contact with the alleged victim after an aborted internal inquiry into the matter.

When he withdraw his request for an arrest warrant of the two Israeli lead war criminals, these allegations of misconduct may go away… his choice.

I don't need experts to tell me what I already know. From what we have all seen with our own eyes only the most racist, hateful, ignorant and down right fecking moronic islamaphobic scum can deny this is genocide. It's not even in question and hasn't been for months.

I despair at anyone who tries to argue the point, especially when you hear 'October 7th' was genocide as a response. The minute I hear that I just think the person saying it is either jist a troll looking for a rise, the person saying it is clearly uneducated and doesn't understand what the definition of genocide is, or they are just disingenuous and obstinately arguing because they don't want to be seen accepting something they know because that makes the rest of their argument or defence of Netenyahu and his murderous forces fall flat on its face and leave them with nowhere else to go.

Arguing that the UN or ICC or whoever hasn't called it genocide is also bullshit simply because they are playing politics the same as the countries who on the one hand are saying they are asking for a cease fire and end to it all yet on the other are sending billions in money and arms to Israel.

It really is time to put the semantics or bullshit of if it's genocide or not aside and move on. It clearly is. Anyone who argues otherwise at this point is best ignored. It's disgustingly sick and hugely disrespectful to all those who have died or injured or had their friends and families slaughtered to even suggest this is anything other than genocide.

I just live in hope that governments start saying the same and taking action, but I doubt they will. Iran is the ultimate aim here and I suspect has been part of the plan all along. Once things escalate there and other countries get involved all the attention will be taken away from Gaza, The West Bank and Lebanon so for the people there, sadly nothing will change, more than likely actually get worse.

I think there is a certain type of people that think of themselves as sober, serious adults (unlike the childish left) who denies this stuff because the Atlantic or Vox or whatever tell them to. So it's good that there are less places to run to now.

The ICC judges response to his arrest warrants should've come out about five months ago yet we're still waiting.

We're currently witnessing the complete destruction of the international institutions and semblance of any kind of international laws, which was started several decades ago by the US. The worst of it is that people are shrugging it off and say that these were useless anyway.

South Africa submits its main legal claim to the top UN court which accuses Israel of genocide
The South African legal team delivered a nearly 5,000-page document to the United Nations’ top court on Monday, the latest step in a case the country brought accusing Israel of committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.

The UK prime minister, Keir Starmer, said Britain was “gravely concerned” that the bill had passed. The UK foreign secretary, David Lammy, earlier on Monday suggested sanctions could be taken against Israeli politicians if Unrwa is “brought to its knees” by the Knesset’s decision.

I cannot wait for the UK's sanctions. I can only guess we will ban two MPs from buying tea in Yorkshire or some such nonsense.

South Africa on Monday filed a detailed submission to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) outlining evidence of Israel’s alleged violation of the 1948 Genocide Convention in its ongoing war on Gaza.
According to the South African presidency, the submission, also called a memorial, includes 750 pages of evidence of acts of genocide and genocidal intent.
"The evidence will show that undergirding Israel’s genocidal acts is the special intent to commit genocide, a failure by Israel to prevent incitement to genocide, to prevent genocide itself and its failure to punish those inciting and committing acts of genocide," a statement by the presidency said.

It added that the evidence is presented in more than 750 pages of text, in addition to over 4,000 pages of annexes.
"South Africa’s Memorial is a reminder to the global community to remember the people of Palestine, to stand in solidarity with them and to stop the catastrophe. The devastation and suffering has been possible only because despite the ICJ and numerous UN bodies’ actions and interventions, Israel has failed to comply with its international obligations,” it said.

I passed disgusting many many months ago. There was a time when breaking international law and/or ten people killed in a day was a huge headline story… sadly, it now seems the norm and media just comment and move on.

I always knew multiple governments were useless but I can’t believe they’ve let this go with just soundbite interviews and shaking fists. Will go down in history as one of the greatest tragedies for decades… but be too late then.
