Legit Hoax? Legit Fake? Legit Hamas made hoax? Legit Israel made hoax? I don't even know what considered legit anymore. Although in this case it's legit the man didn't die.

Anyway, regardless of who made it, the effect felt in Indonesia, people are being led into Anti Israel sentiments, recently massive protest on US embassy, and don't get me started on the hate speech being circulated on local whatsapp group on how Israel Rape/torture/behead/mutilate victim (mostly are hoax) but the aftermath is real. Although to be fair, our country has a tendency to believe everything from a magical fortune pig (babi ngepet) @Kopral Jono to a man who can double your money magic style.
The world is really fueling on hoax and propaganda, all across the world. Everywhere, from all aspect and all sides. Be It russia, american, china, right wing left wing, it really takes alot of wisdom to determine what's real and what's not, and even then we're swimming against tides of propaganda material.

The nefarious thing about anti-Israel sentiments in Indonesia (and maybe to an extent Malaysia), especially when coupled with unverified narratives, is that it has the tendency to veer into anti-Chinese sentiments, who are often seen by Islamists and hardline nationalists as the 'Jews of Indonesia' with all the same nasty stereotypes. My partner is actually Chinese Indonesian and the trauma of the 1998 riots is still all too fresh for them.

You're trying to make equivalence between that certain degree with Israel funded hasbara, curated, one eyed-ness.
