Don't see this one coming to anything, but you wouldn't say no to another Spaniard.

As long as he isn't making City a better team, that's all that matters.

You might be disappointed there, City seem to be the most likely destination at the moment.

I'm 90% certain they've meant to write City there and put United by mistake.

It's a huge piece of transfer news to put in that little column.

Yep, they've done the standard European thing of thinking there's only one club in Manchester. It's easily done. He's off to City, no doubt about that.

I dont really see why he would choose City over United or Real though. Surely he'd get payed plenty at Madrid, and United is simply a bigger club who is screaming out for someone to play on the left wing. Add to the fact that De Gea and Thiago should've convinced him by now that wearing blue whilst playing for a Manchester-club should only be an option when you're playing in your third kit.

Marca have no story on it, must be bollocks.

They have Thiago on the frontpage with the story that the player and club agreed terms.

What.....ANY Spaniard?

Marca is the club linking him to Madrid though. Bild, which is much more reliable and in this case are 100% to be trusted, confirmed that he's going to United. It's only a matter of a bid being placed, a bid being accepted, a contract being offered, and a contract being accepted ahead of other offers. It's basically a done deal.

They're quoting the Daily Mail though.

I google translated the top rated comments on the article to see what Barca fans thought, this is one of my favourite things ever.

'That happens by signing Cesc Fabregas. That bad management .... will repurchase a stonemason by another .... Not only do the cinnamon and you make it clear to the quarry who can always go back, if not also the future crack pyre. Rosell, tito and Zubizarreta all the streets, they just know how to make signings of goalkeeper and portfolio'

Plech would die if he saw that.

Has a good relationship with Pellegrini doesn't he? I can see why at Real he might be concerned about playing time. He'd play regularly for us, but probably for less wages and with an unfamiliar manager.

True, I keep forgetting about bloody Pellegrini. Hopefully it'll stay that way the next 12 months.

Still, I cant see Isco being able to keep Scott Sinclair out of the team.

Never seen the guy play. is he a winger or a no.10-type?

If it's the former then great. If it's the latter, why would we need him when we've got Kagawa and/or Rooney?

I'd think we'd only be interested if Nani was leaving. Personally, if you could buy him why not? That spanish lot seem to be doing all the right things

You guys are so going to end up with Fellaini and Torres, only downside to that is that I will die from laughter.

Oh well, it'll be totally worth it anyway.

You forgot Ronaldo :(

We've probably told Thiago and Isco that Ronaldo is coming back and they just can't wait to get in on the fun

If we sign both Thiago and Isco...
Very unlikely that we'll get Isco given how it seems like he's set to sign for Madrid or City, but I guess I'd settle with Thiago.

Nah I mean Thiago, Isco and Ronaldo. That'd be a decent summer I think :)

As sexy as Isco is, he isn't really what we need. Thiago is a much better fit for our squad, and will actually improve a position we need.

I think its pretty clear he is off to City, im not even getting a half mast over this fella.

Bild typed United instead of city in one of their gossip columns and twitter ran with it

No way, we're meant to be the Jews at Christmas remember

Spanish newspaper Marca say 21-year-old Malaga midfielder Isco would rather stay in Spain and join Real Madrid instead of a transfer to Manchester City.
"The player has an offer on the table from Manchester City, but he'd prefer to go to Real," said Marca. "His release clause currently stands at 35m euros, but this amount is open to negotiation."
"Isco seems to have opted to make Real Madrid his next stop. The player is closer than ever to Real."
Marca report that Real Madrid and Malaga are scheduled to have another meeting today in an attempt to agree a deal.

Imagine if we sign Thiago and City get feck all  now that would be a good summer

They've already signed a Brazilian and a Spaniard.

Oh please, the people they have signed will not improve them anymore than last year. Navas is a skinny Valencia, and Fernandinho will be cover for Toure.

Navas gives them genuine width from what I've seen of him. That's what they lacked last year

Fernandinho seems to be pretty highly rated and on the basis that he's unlikely to run like he's pulled both hamstrings is surely an upgrade on Gareth Barry. He'll play alongside Toure and might allow him to get forward a bit more.

Those signings have improved City for my money - how much they've improved will only become clear next season.
