I also like it. In a previous draft, I picked both Maradona and Matthaus because the 1st one said
"he is the best rival I've ever had. I guess that's enough to define him", in his book Yo soy el Diego (I am the Diego).
The outcome you mean?
I lost the SF against Invictus/Theon but harms won that draft.
Thought two draft favorites like that would lead you far. They must have had one hell of a team to top that.
Cruyff, Seeler and Messi make for a very dynamic and flexible attack. Fluid and hard to mark against. Yeah, satisfactory!

Yeah, one of those that gets abnormal performances from the likes of Pantsil but can't get star-studded frontlines to shine.
Ah, that Masopust, Puskas, van Basten, Gullit game. I was browsing that yesterday and still can't understand how I managed to goof that up. It was a great team.
So I've been watching the 1958 World Cup for a while now and I am a bit shocked how Garrincha was named in the team of the tournament for his three assists. Hamrin and X both had an absolute stellar tournament leading their team with a type of influence Garrincha wasn't close to. Hamrin scored 4 and assisted 3 while X scored 6 goals in 6 games and both had tournaments about as good as they come.
LW of the tournament, Skoglund, was more productive than Garrincha with his 1 goal and 3 assists. Anybody else agree about Garrincha's 58? He was still himself, trying to produce a goal/assist every time he touched the ball but his style needs him at his peak for him to not just be wasteful.

I've only seen Brazil vs France and Brazil vs Sweden in the final from '58 and I was somewhat underwhelmed with Garrincha too. I was more impressed with another winger.
Yup. Agreed with that and Garrinchas supposedely key performance was against Sweden where he assisted two. The rest of the tournament he assisted 1 and scored 0.

I agree that 2007 Copa is probably the best from him. Maybe last years Copa as well. Either way better than any of the WC showings'15 and '16 are equally good imo. Yeah, they flunked the finals, but Messi was quite good in both.
